  • At The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, emergency physicians and nurses work collaboratively to respond to trauma. Other specialties, such as radiology, are available immediately.
    In addition, families play an integral part in the child's care during a trauma. They are present in the resuscitation room to comfort their child and to provide the medical team with information to help care for their child. Social workers and child life specialists talk with the families and provide support services.

    Letitia must be one incredibly strong person. Having to tell parents potentially the worst news of their life. I couldn’t do that job. Thank you for work Letitia.
