Man I am glad I have the Legacy version. $220 is honestly way too much for this sword.
I totally agree especially since the legacy has die cast in it and this new one is all plastic. 👎👎

In the end it comes down to that price. At 220, you expect Star Wars: The Black Series Force FX Elite type of a presentation. These items come out as the toys you give to slightly older kids.
At a lower price point, Bandai had length and accuracy at its side.
So I guess, who is this product for?
Because it seems confused. It's not going for accuracy but it's playing in a bigger pool above it's pay grade.

Doesn't even come close to the legacy line, but cool to see nonetheless
How doesnt it come close? It looks almost the same except with better paint details and its shorter. They are very close, the red effect is really cool but I dislike the screw being shown by the battery cover, not really liking how shorter it is

I wasn’t collecting when the Legacy line came out, so I’m getting the Lighting Collection weapons. I’m not sure how I’m going to display these tho..
Not a fan of the square edges on the handle and guard. I think it would have looked better with slightly rounded handle and more of a tapered edge on the sides of the guard. I will still reluctantly buy this in the hopes that the rest of the weapons are released and combinable
Thats waaaaaay overpriced for what that is. Huge fail in my eyes. The blade looks to short and handle to long...
Its a steep price. But also ordered it . Hopefully a full power blaster in the works by hasbro. Great review.

Thank you for the review! Now I realize I have to pick this up at Gamestop when it is the deal of the day, since they will all combo together for the "Howling Canon".
If they are planning to do the whole Power Blaster, I can only imagine how much the Power Ax will be. 😅😅

Way too much for this thing. I'd honestly prefer if these LC weapons were non-electronic with higher quality material, like more diecast parts. They also need to be more show accurate. This is not really how I remember this weapon
I think it might light up on one side because of when the power blaster is built. But that’s just giving them the benefit of the doubt lol

Everything is nice about this release of the Power Sword. The lights, sounds and play features are really cool. The only thing that I don't get is that why Hasbro didn't make this the same size as Bandai's Legacy Power Sword. The Legacy version was bigger and it was more screen accurate. Had Hasbro made it the same size as the Bandai release, it would have been a real winner in my book. What keeps me from wanting to pull the trigger on it is the price point. It's quite expensive, but you do get a lot for your money.
Yea I think they’ll be on sale soon! If you can, maybe hold out and will seem more worth it!

Yea 100% an online retailer that I used in the UK has regular meetings with hasbro and have (apparently) confirmed to them that they will combine!

if the gavan laser blade could nail a light up blade, why can't this (ironically) cheap excuse for a collectors item too? and 220 bucks? i can get a custom lightsaber for that price.
also, can we at least get the 1995 movie version of the mmpr theme for a change?
I cant wait to see the $1000 power axe that will probably be a haslab that won't get backed!
Aside from the light, I'm not feeling this especially for $220. Would be bitchin to take to parties though.

Really nice review to be honest, I was on the fence about buying this but I think i'm going to wait till the price drops down as it's not worth the price at all i think, I did like the light up part tho that was pretty cool but it's not £200 worth of cool lol

If you're thinking the price will lower you're naive. These kinds of weapons usually get out of stock very quickly. And it's even likely that the last units increase in price
@@jonnydabullet all weapons and stuff like this do drop in time, the power staff from zeo went for like a 150 to 80 on some sites, it’s not being naive at all, it will drop in price at some point as all products do, if they have loads in the warehouse and they don’t shift then they lower the price to make it more attractive to the customer who buys them

exactly. The dragon dagger was 60$ at retail, i think it was a good price for what they deliver. The paintjob feels cheaper in comparison to legacy dragon dagger (i got both) but overall is a nice product, 1/1 escale. The other lightning weapons are too expensive for what they deliver. The ZAP zords are too expensive for what they deliver in my opinion too@@Lightningcollector2021

the legacy one could have had a more rigid and solid blade, but is overall a superior product, i would still go for a cosplay prop, as i don't care for sfx.
