This Game is the proof for me that we need to change to a 4-3-1-2.
Whenever Suarez and Neymar were in the box centerally and not out wide, they caused some serious damage + they both linked up decently with Messi, especially Suarez suprised me. His finishing isn't 100% yet but god he plays brilliantly.
Regarding Messi, no idea what was up with him today. He looked....human.
i was thinking the same thing.. barcelona needs to change their formation.. i was thinking a 4-2-2-2 .. bravo, alba,matheu, pique, alves, xavi, rakitic, neymar, pedro/iniesta, messi and suarez.
The problem is that you need wingers to track back and support the defense. With iniesta and rakitic/xavi barca is lacking defensive responsibility in the midfield. I think that's why Pep at his time transferred Alexis, so that him and pedro (pace abusers) could take up the flanks
This game just proof that Lucho is an idiot! given Barca lost in previous 2 Liga games, this was a must win game. Yet Mr "Know it all" started with a 2nd team!! Benching Xavi, Suarez, and Neymar and putting the whole pressure on Messi!! We bought Suarez and Neymar to help Messi not watching him from bench do all work by himself! The guy has to go all the way to defense to get the ball, dribble, assist and help his teammate to score! Even superman can't do all this shit by himself!
Rustam Guliyev Good Point. Offensively we would definitely be stronger because we could create alot more chances like we did in the second half but that would make it harder to defend.
Nothing is wrong with Messi, it's the tactics that are fucked, look at where Messi received the ball in most situations, by the touchline, he can't do much there when he's forced to beat 3-4 players every time. Against Ajax he played in his best position and we saw the best Messi, Enrique needs to get his shit together.
Neymar and Suarez on the bench ? Was that a joke... I hope so! Lucho must improve or he will be out of the team in no time!

To be honest that was a good move. Risky but a good move, you could see how much more dangerous we became when those 2 came on. Munir though created some great chances. It was good for us fans to see how much of an impact Suarez and Neymar have.

All of you hating on our coach need to understand that its not his fault. Because of our ban we have to play our youngsters so when situations where Suarez,neymar, etc.. Are injured or can't play, we'll have backup. Please understand its for the best of the team and I back his decision 100% and I hope you guys do too.

I don't mind to see youngsters to play but let ensure the result then get them in. Why can't he get 1st team in the first half to get the job done then have the youngsters come in 2nd half. Guardiola used to do the same thing but he never bench his superstars when it comes to important games and let not forget this the man who has almost half of his team from la Masia!
Please. Please. Please. Bench Busquets and play Mascherano in CDM! Play atleast one of Suarez or Neymar or both alongside with Messi in every game possible! The front 3 players need to build more chemistry! Yes, Munir and Pedro need game time too but unfortunately they will have to come off from the bench.
It's just really sad to see that Barcelona struggles so much in every single game these days.
The season is still long, so there is still time to improve but Luis Enrique has a huge task to fix the system asap.
Our mid-field is supposed to be the strongest area but it is exactly the area where it needs to be fixed and re-assessed now.
Mascherano arguably has been our best defender this season. Mathieu has been excellent as well, and I still think he adds a lot to our defense.
I agree we should put confident on Bartra and play Mascherano as CDM. Bartra might lack experience but still better than Pique so far. Plus Mascherano can always go back and help Bartra when it needed.

After watching this team this season. I can definitely say so far, the problems are with this team is the manager. He has no clue what so ever, about the formation to use all the three forwards correctly. I mean sometimes I'll accept that its his first season blah blah and blah. But with a team with so much caliber and power up front. It's unbelievable that he hasn't found a stable lineup and formation yet. All I can say Luis Suarez has done more work for Barcelona in those three matches, than Pedro for the last 2 seasons. And am impressed watching him slowly get into Barcelonas playstyle. For Neymar he was superb for positing himself for that Suarez goal. But Messi was amazing, he tracks back well and finds good passes.

I think he's trying to give more field experience to his substitutes and get more players experienced in different positions although you are right we haven't been in form since the last 3 or 4 matches
