Ahhhhhh! Great - an up to date video with up to date comments!!!! I went to Thassos over 20 years ago, but now I'm planning my honeymoon there. Obvioiusly my knowledge is very, very out of date. Can anyone point me to either nice hotels or a suitable B&B style place? It's my wedding, so - it would have to be "special". Cost isn't a problem - I've budgeted for this for years - I just need to find the right place. Personally I am quiet and chill out, but she is loud and outgoing, so we'd need somewhere that she can go out and do her thing, whilst I... read... But its more about the quality of the accomodation - the rest we can deal with. Taxi's etc - not a problem. I suppose we could rent a car but.... honestly, we both like to drink and its our wedding - I'd prefer to just pay for a taxi. So any advice on high end hotels or all service B&Bs... welcome... please!

I was there in june and it was busier. When did you go to have no people?

We went to Thassos end of June. But to film with no people we woke up around 4AM for sunrise to avoid crowds :)

I am Greek, the island is ok in comparison to other Greek islands but the tourists area problem. Normally are southern eastern European which means they drink a lot alcohol they are very loud and they are everywhere. We tried to stay in the most expensive villa and few families came with kids and destroyed the place. It feels like you are in Bulgari or "Machedonia" rather than Greece. The video is 100% very early summer probably May and thats the reason is empty otherwise you will see chavs all over the place

Totally agree.We liked only the beaches ,I found it very boring island, boring nightlife and the tourists were very noisy.Only the beaches worth.
