    The thing with Tim Duncan, it wasn’t just about the great blocks. It was about his timing and positioning. Always ready to help out and contest anything going towards the rim. Not to mention his positioning also forced a lot of players to pass when they didn’t want to.

      Not only about that, there's a stat showing Timmy is the one with most blocks diverted opponents' shots to his own team

      @@zhugelianges You can see how true it is in this video, he practically always blocks the shot down back into the floor or keeps it soft and quick, zero times did he just smash it into the stands even if he had the opportunity to do so. Crazy how he keeps the ball in bounds on blocks even when he's directly under the basket/right next to the boundary, you rarely see that so consistently

    Imagine a universe where Duncan never had a major injury. He probably would have more rings than Jordan. Getting 5 rings the way he did should get him more respect, but he's not flashy so he goes under the radar. One of the best big men of all time.

    Love it when it's shown how strong defense leads to offensive opportunities. I think this is missing from today's game.
    I'd much rather see two forces battle it out for every point than to see a bunch of kids scoring on each other at will, personally.

      Yes, Shaq was pretty dominant that day, and I think Timmy is the only person that could match up with him on that era....No offense on Shaq though.

    I really like your Duncan videos. This one is my favorite one, Duncan was such a great defender in his prime.
    Have you thought about similar video about Bill Russell? I've always thought about him as a combination of Hakeem and Duncan on defense.
