    The proper term for "little truck" is "bob-tailing", which means you have no trailer.

    yup every driver...
    For example, i learned to drive Standard in a VERY mountainous Climate...
    Im not the best, but im no where near the words. and i hear someone in the prairies say i cannot drive stick shift, i think, it's flat. if i can learn it in the mountains you cna learn it on flat land.
    Besides, you never know. Some day you might have to drive a big truck like this to save lives.

  • @caddy59
    @caddy59 Před 13 lety +2

    He did get one thing wrong: there are automatic trucks. You just won't really see them used by training schools.

  • @magicsuperman13

    Hell no. lmao

  • @nilloc93
    @nilloc93 Před 11 lety +2

    you can't do a donut in a truck like that, you would get about 210 degrees around then smash into your trailer, the road would have to be sheer ice to actually wind up going in a full circle

    • @andrewunjo158
      @andrewunjo158 Před 8 lety +5

      The school I went to included that in the course. The schools that don't have it should. If it saves your ass even once then it's worth it. It's saved mine once or twice over the past 17 years. And by the way... it's every bit as scary fun as how it looks!

    So can anybody tell me since most cdl school don’t have this as part of their syllabus, If u do end up skidding do u steer into the direction your trailer tail is sliding? And than counter steer

  • @WarOnTruckers
    @WarOnTruckers Před 11 lety +1

    If you pay attention you will see they use the trailer brakes for the skid and release them.

    • @jeffreycairns767
      @jeffreycairns767 Před rokem

      That's what the spike is. The spike applies trailer brakes only.

    • @zachk.5738
      @zachk.5738 Před 8 lety +2

      shannonville Ontario and if your from there u go on old highway 2 until u get to the shannonville race track (not the horse one in Belleville) and in the back of the race track is the school ... there r always drifting trucks in there and it's ALOT of fun to watch

    all truckers should not need a school to figure this out, my whole family has been trucking and most of us have never been in an accident that was our fault, the most dangerous people on the road are the people in the smaller cars and the idiots in motor homes and big RV trailers, you would not believe the amount of times people will pull in front of a big rig right into the blind spot, then slow down, all that happens then is they get run over.
