- I recycled toilet paper rolls and paper towels, to create a master piece. I love it so much that it fits nicely in my formal living room space.

Paper towel rolls (empty)
Glue Gun
Glue Sticks
Gem Beads (looks like crystals)
A pre-used canvas
scissors
Rustoleum metallic Gold spray paint
Vaspar metallic silver paint

You use Valspar Silver?
I too am not pleased with the golds I've found.
I use to get a Gold spray paint called 14 karat from Michaels, but I live so rural now - not sure if they still carry this but KNOW YOU WOULD LIKE THE OUTCOME!!!
Be sure to get a couple, the cans were smaller, but did a better job and about same amount.

I love that you repurposed your painting to do this! I did something similar but I covered the rolls (before I cut them) with colorful tissue paper using glue or glue sticks! YES to upcycling!!!

OMG!! This is amazing. Can you imagine this on one complete wall? Toilet paper rolls, who would even imagine that??!! Very clever project. I love how the "flowers" created circles as they were being glued together. That was a lot of work but it's so pretty.

Wow. So creative. I have heavy black metal items hung on my walls. This spray painted black would look the same but would be easier to hang. And be much cheaper. Thanks for the idea.

When spraying a darker color gold--spray it white first. The gold will be brighter.
