I'm a window cleaner and have cleaned the capitol building in Bismark many many times.
As someone that lives in North dakota and is obsessed with GTA5, I'm extremely surprised that I wasn't aware that this was the inspiration for Yankton.
But anyways bro drive to Fargo! It's way cooler than biz, and I'd love to meet ya! Lol I know it's a long shot but ayy the offer stands pat!!!
So basically, whenever you played the prologue you were technically still home, but in a game. Think about that.
@@Imtrane15 I went to the midnight release and played hour 1 and still didn't connect the dots 😵💫🤔
I always figured North Yankton was based in like Minnesota, Indiana, or Illinois. North Dokata never crossed my mind. Pretty cool how close the two towns look.
I thought North Yankton was based on Canada...
Well, I always thought it was North Dakota because of Ludendorff, a German general/field marshal versus North Dakota's capital (Bismarck, another German general/statesman).
I thought it was North Dakota because they both have north in the name
Yankton is also another Native American tribe like the Dakota
I thought it was Canada 🤣
Thank you for visiting my state giving it respect and decency most people talk down about it.
I’m a mixed Native American and I’m enrolled here with the Three Affiliated Tribes of fort berthhold.
I’m glad you made this video I’ve been following your channel sometime but now I can officially give thanks.
Berthold goes hard
Yes, i like the state and also i like people who have real american blood, more respect for you man.
As a North Dakotan gotta say the same
the graphics on this game look crazy realistic
gta 6
GTA V IRL
Man what will gta 6 look like💀💀💀
howd they make gta 72 online so realistic
Once again you have gone beyond what a normal GTA CZcamsr does to cover up the lore in GTA games. Respect for this dedication.
PS. You can do video like this one about Miami when some time after GTA VI finally comes out.
This is why The Professional is one of the most hardworking and dedicated youtubers
Man the reason why I love the professional's videos is because he seems so knowledgeable about history.
I don’t comment often, but I truly enjoy your videos and I’m especially a fan of your lore videos. I got an immense feeling of excitement seeing this 90 minute lore video in my inbox.
Dude you actually did it. You are the true professional man.
The amount of respect I have for this guy is immeasurable.. These type of lore videos are really unique and refreshing ❤️
Not only do we get the comparisons, but we also learn the city's history from this guy. I'm honestly just flabbergasted with the amount of effort you're throwing to your videos, and I that's why we all love your content
One thing that crosses my mind when seeing the "Bury the Hatchet" scene is how Brad is still identifiable after 10 years. How fast does a body decompose? A question that is easy too google, but I´d rather not for obvious reasons 😅 One would have thought he would be just bones by now.....idk, maybe the cold climate preserved him well....
Could be the cold climate. But his body may have been preserved. I thought preservation was more common in the US than for example in Europe. But that may just be an assumption or a thing of the past.
I guess he was imbalmbed?
Maybe this is just ironically something rockstar overlooked, despite how much true detail they put on his corpse 🤔🤷♂️
Inside sealed coffins decomposition can stop, It depends also by the terrain, in my town in Italy when the free tombs contract expire after 30 years Is very common for the cemetery worker to find"mummified" full bodies and not simple bones to collect for the ossuaries
American custom of filling bodies with chemicals to preserve them, sealed coffin and cold can easily mummify a body like Brad was
I lived in North Dakota my whole life I always found it fascinating that North Yankton was based off of here, I think it's awesome you made the trip out here so everyone can see the real deal. Stay warm Professional!!! 🤘
Also Bismarck was named Edwinton at first but to get more german people to move out they had to have a prostitute pay to change the name because she was the richest person living there at the time XD
I personally always thought North Yankton was a place in Canada. Absolutely amazing and honestly eye opening video
Pro is that goat🐐
North Dakota and Minnesota are pretty close up there near Canada to almost sounding Canadian in their accents.
Love how much effort you put into this video Pro keep up the great content🙏
This dude is goated in the gta and overall Rockstar community. Breaks my heart what they did to rdr2 but man your dedication is next level. Big ups.
The movie theater that we see in game downtown Ludendorff is actually modeled off a theater in downtown Fargo. Looks exactly alike. I've driven by it several times over the last 25 years living an hour away. 😀
There's dedication, and then there's this right here. Pro actually went to the real life North Yankton to do a lore video. Good shit man🙏😊
he's the professional for a reason
insane dedication
Yep
This is dedication, I respect that.
I love the respect professional has for bismarck ND. My brother and i have been huge fans for a long time and we were super happy when we saw you made it to ND, in the winter no less. The winters up here are no joke.
The content of his channel keeps getting better and better playthroughs lore vids etc. Keep it up pro 👌🔥
Your dedication to making content is dope af.
Love to see Bismarck getting some love, I lived there for about 4 years and loved it. The people are great and friendly. I miss Bismarck a lot. Great vid Prof
i got a third reason why "Why Bury The Hatchet Was Unrealistic" :
Brad's corpse. Even in that cold, is impossible for his body to be that well preserved for 10 years. or well enough to be identified in the first seconds. A dead body even in the cold usually decomposes to a skeleton in 6-12 months. Here, he is pretty much mummified.
Really cool you actually went to North Dakota for this video man. Keep up the great work and take care!
Look at pro out here giving tours and a history lesson, proud of u pro keep doing your thang 👍✌
This was an interesting lore video pro, love your dedication!
Can't wait for part 2 where him and his two buddies rob the local bank. Always original content from you!
Yep and him and one of the buddies find the other friend in part 3
Great video professional. Bro goes beyond what we expect of him. 🐐
Patrick this was outstanding, so so interesting . Thank you
I love the quiet areas it’s really cool and amazing, thank u so much ❤
Incredible work Professional! I really enjoyed the tidbits of history especially during your cosplay playthroughs. Have you ever considered making more separate historical videos? Possibly on significant figures in history like Teddy Roosevelt? Keep up the amazing content!
That’s a good idea actually
Can we all just appreciate the fact that pro went back in time to the prologue to make this video for us?
Your dedication is unreal
Keep it up
Very informative and surprisingly wholesome, keep it up pro
This is an Amazing video! i wasn't expecting this video! Absolutely Outstanding professional.
glad you did this my friend. you are the man on this my dude
Wow I was not expecting a video like this. This was awesome. Please keep up stuff like this
woah dude! this is another level of dedication!! this is great thanks a lot for this
I really love these kind of videos! Keep it up TheProfessional!
This was an incredibly enjoyable watch!
It was great and pretty educational to join you on this trip, with a nice Hot Chocoffee* and a warm blanket.
The dedication is highly appreciated and I wish you all the best.
(Could you send some of that snowy goodness over the big pond, for some atmospheric winter days? Would've loved to be there.)
*my personal recipe is just a normal (European average sized) cup of hot chocolate with espresso - maybe a doppio, in the morning - added.
People forget who Michael and Trevor were from geographically and what their lifestyles were before the move to San Andreas. It makes sense Professional
Bismarck was a Kriegsmarine battleship. Famed for sinking HMS Hood in a one in a trillion magazine hit, one-shotting the beloved battlecruiser.
Honestly I didn't know, which topic will be the subject of your next amazing lore video, but as I saw the title, I couldn't wait for the evening to watch it. And you, sir, clearly did much more than "just" GTA 5 lore, respect for that! It was very informative and I agree on the stuff you were saying about cities and rural areas as well.
I'm also more of a guy who can stand cold better than hot and winter is not real winter without snow and frost in my opinion.
Being grown up in a village I also appreciate rather calm and less populated areas than big cities. The impressions of the Midwest I got so far are also, that people are more down-to-earth there in general. I've been following a CZcams channel for a couple months now, full of Midwestern/Wisconsinite stereotypes (Charlie Berens, maybe you've seen it as well), and after that vibe I was thinking, if I'd ever leave Europe for the US, I'd probably move to Wisconsin :D
Thank you again for this impressively done video and don't worry about them eventually being behind schedule, they're always worth the wait! :)
I appreciate you for making this video. I live in this beautiful city, and seeing someone shine light on it makes me happy!
The amount of work that you put into this video is unmatched. It's also good to see the MG 08/15 and the Tankgewehr.
u truly blow it out the park with all ur vids what a legend and u deserve everything love the content keep going legend
31:03 I know that this is 10 months old but man, RDR2 is pretty damn accurate. Charles actually tells you about all this. How his people had to kill Bison in order to survive. And in an optional Hunt mission, some idiots shot some Bison to make it look like the Indians did it. Ugh... so awful.
Big respect to you. Showing all this. It's not just GTA 5 Lore but it's also different kinds of Lore as well and I love that.
The work you put is legendary
I’ve been looking forward to this video for months
Love the effort you put into your videos man!
You really outdid yourself with this one Pro, impressive!
Yk,I've seen nearly all of those videos of comparing real life cities to the gta games. But this is on a whole other level and I love it
Respect for the Professional for doing so much for a lore video, keep up the good work
Great video man I loved this nice to see North Yankton IRL, the similarities were great to see to... Oh also I actually love winter myself as well, except yep the ice lol.
I have seen a North Yankton IRL video before, the channel was very professional.
This is a lore video classic Professional. Truly bravo 👏 for your merit. That’s a path for a medal 🎖️
This video is very interesting and epic thanks Patrick for creating this lore videos.

Edit: I’m 22 mins in and that was very interesting about rusavelt, I’m English so I’m not up on all the presidents, sounds very interesting. Great video so far pro hope you’re doing well
This is actually really cool never knew they put a real location in GTA nice video also a lot of dedication 👍
Yoooo this is sick
Glad you’re feeling better. I’ve been to and lived in all the GTA real life locations except for Bismarck/Ludendorff.
These IRL Lore videos are amazing
Love the vids and keep up the good work
Big fan of this man !
Yo dude this is legendary!
awesome work once again
Respect the grind and dedication!
I have waited for this video for so long ty bro
The knowledge you know about history is insane pro appreciate it
Great video! I finally got the time to watch it!
Great work man. What a cool & interesting idea this was!
You actually did it, you went to where it started. Well done.
This guy is the GOAT , he actually travels to take us to the areas the game was played on
This was a great video professional I hope you do more of these in the future and I love when you talk about history it's so interesting.
Educational tourism, thanks Pro❤
Theodore is said to have gotten shot during a Speech and he still carried on with it and finished said speech. Not only a good President, but I'd say one of the few who are tough as nails. It's also said he hated being called "Teddy."
This one might be the best lore video so far
I didn't have time to watch the full vid but Kudos to you Pro, I hope you showed the alien trapped in ice under the bridge ❤️🔥
I know you're a big history buff and I know GTA V is one of your favorite games so this have must have been a fun trip for you. Super kool! 👍
I'm bummed you didn't find the frozen ailen.
Literally unwatchable
Great Video Patrick!
Greetings and watching this from Europe, Pro! I love these kind of videos and I love the way you tell the story of the different historical places you visit - I particularly liked what you said about President Roosevelt. It's true that he's very rarely mentioned in the list of people's favourite and greatest American presidents - Lincoln or Kennedy, for example, are much more often mentioned. Great video as always, keep up with the good work!
Dude that's insane! GTA V is such a masterpiece they made an entire state out of it!
