I have heard a very authoritative source say that tithing is God's plan for helping Africa at large rise out of poverty (it's His plan for every place on earth at large to prosper). So good job joining the Lord in this adventure. Blessings absolutely do come.

Remember... God is not a genie.
He is worthy and deserves our praise regardless of if we ever get a thing out of life or not.
Even in a cardboard box and not a dime to your name... praise the Lord my soul is saved because of what he did!
That's why we praise him. Because of what is already done.
We do not praise God for what we will get out of it. Guard your heart against these teachings and ask your father for discernment.

Any church. You could look into the ones that do the most for the poor and outreach into their community if you fo not have a church. But then.. go see it. 💜
The priests of Egypt worshiped the True God, the God of Abraham? I don't think so. Actually, although they tithed before the Law they also practiced circumcision before the Law, but you will not see either emphasized in the NT. In fact, Paul never mentions the tithe or 10% when discussing raising funds or supporting leaders. Jesus said the Pharisees indeed should have tithed, but they were under the Law at the time. Paul makes it clear you will reap what you sow, large or small.

@@kathrynbraun2073 Yes he did. But you will notice he was speaking to the Pharisees, who were stull under the Law. His purpose was to point out their hypocrisy in not keeping all of it, but neglecting the weightier matters. The Law was done away with at the cross, and Paul is clear, we are no longer under that "schoolmaster."
@@kathrynbraun2073 See 7:42. The land of the Priest's did not become Pharaoh's, because that was the tithe. It belonged to God. But wait, the priests did not worship the true God. Right?
We are not under the law of Moses. Tithing was part of the law of Moses. Jesus released us from the requirements of the law. If you want to obey this law, you have to obey all the others as well. And we're not under any laws that was ordained before the law of Moses, because they kept the sabbath and sacrificed animals for sin "before the law". All these were made null when Jesus died.
Also, if you read the law correctly, you'll notice that they gave three tithes, two were 10% every year and 10% once every three years. So its about 23.3% of your yearly produce. So you're getting that wrong.
And, I am not cursed if I don't tithe. Jesus became cursed on my behalf, because nobody could fulfill the law. You are getting the gospel wrong.
