90% of groups nowadays don't sing live anymore because their companies want to focus on the powerful/complicated choreo, facial expression or whatever else that isn't vocal, well here's a living proof that you can still serve all of them and sing LIVE. I wouldn't say unmatched but def high up compared to most of 4th gen and alot of 3rd gen. I haven't heard any group sing live for their cb or debut stage lately

I watch all of the talented girl groups, especially the popular ones, and some are strong in some aspects but weaker at others. But I think dreamcatcher excels, if everything is taken together

It’s not like having great vocal ability means that they will actually sing live at these music show events. Aespa’s management is dead set on using studio recordings for whatever reason.

Many Kpop groups that I know sing live especially Itzy with their hardest choreos, except Aespa nd Twice a little bit
It's the norm to lipsync in the kpop world now. Only a handful artists that care enough to do it live. Not to mention how companies focus more on dance moves that can go viral than anything else too.
I don't watch kpop live stages anymore because they all kinda became the same to me, but THIS is what I've been hoping to see. Charisma, vocals, powerful dance and a refreshing concept that all come together in harmony. You can tell that Dreamcatcher are enjoying themselves while tearing that stage up. Damn I love them

I love how I can clearly hear their live vocals. It’s imperfect because nobody can sing perfectly while dancing like that, but the imperfections somehow made the performance more moving. JiU’s voice in the bridge sounded far more punchy than in the studio version and I love it.
I hope other kpop companies can learn that imperfections don’t necessarily make for a worse performance. In fact, they may even make the impact more powerful. If an idol is comfortable and confident with singing live, please don’t make them lipsync for the sake of a “perfect performance”. I’m looking at you, SM.
the lungs on these girls... just imagine talking while dancing like this, let alone singing like this, I don't know if I'm more impressed with Gahyeon in the end with her head voice, very thin but stable, or siyeon with her belts and they are still powerful as ever, no idea.
The physical condition you need to have to endure a choreo like that while singing 98% exactly like the studio version, is INSANE. Just go and do a workout while singing and unless you are a very well trained person vocally and physically, the sound of your voice will cut with every move. This girls are very well trained artists and highly talented. They deserve the world.
They are clearly really well-trained! Obviously, the girls are really talented, but you don't get that stable without your company pushing you and training the hell out of you. Props for their company for putting so much efforts in their performances (budget, concepts, stylists, and training). They are constantly raising the bar and the girls are clearly working hard to prepare for each comeback, and they are constantly improving.

They never lipsyncing but this one is fire! The choreography doesn't stop them from singing live. What I admire about them is they don't have the typical gg choreography in general (sexy or cute), their choreography just looks strong, complicated, and powerful.

They both know what variety shows of that nature can do to you and after seeing the outcome of many of the groups after the first Queendom they prob wanted to stay away. Not a single Insomnia's eye was dry today. This was a landmark, historic moment, long time coming. For 5 years, Dreamcatcher have worked meticulously to overcame all the obstacles. And now finally, they have their hard earned trophy, on Show Champion, on the 20th April 2022. My heart is so full today with love and joy.

This is why dreamcatcher considered as blackhole in kpop, even though they don’t fit standard of universe(kpop world) they are the power to be reckoned with. Every dying star (idol) in a pinch they will use dark concept and rock music for a failsafe and dreamcatcher will be that standard to compare 😎

Now groups with this difficult of choreo? Possibly, but like... idols are human and need to breathe as well. We don't have to drag other groups to elevate the girls. Sometimes groups are flat out told by their own companies and/or the broadcast stations that they will be lipsync and their opinions/training/practice doesn't matter.
@@aislin2989 still, that isn-t the point that i wanted to get into it. yes their schedules are very tight, but they are trying to show that they're singing live when they aren't, like fixing the microphone. aespa was in controversy for always using lipsync despite saying in their own vlogs they are singing live.
@@alexoy2k With a statement that broad? You're saying that Dreamcatcher was the *only* group to not lip sync on a comeback or debut stage in 2022. That's painting every group that's wandered onto MCD's stages with that statement.
So please define 'only' - is that counting BTOB who always sings live (check fancams if you don't believe me, you can hear their voices crystal clear) and has a rather famous failed lipsync stage? Is that counting Highlight, a 14 year veteran of the industry who has absolutely proven that they can sing and dance fairly hard choreography? Is that counting people who sing ballads or bands like Onewe who don't have choreography? What are they doing then? You cannot say *only* when MCD (and other shows) have such a wide spectrum of artists and genres. You will absolutely need to define "only" or you need to narrow your statement, and not just by year if you want to get away with that.
We do not have to drag *any* other group's vocals/performances (especially since we all know - or should know - that Dreamcatcher is friends with a lot of other groups, especially girl groups) by saying that Dreamcatcher is the *only* group to do live singing in 2022 on a comeback or debut stage. You need to modify your statement to be more in the area of 'damn those live vocals!!' instead of the 'haha your faves could never' tone it has now. Insomnias are known to be pretty chill, helpful, and just as supportive as the DC girls are to other groups. Please act like it.

Yeah, i get goosebumps and sometimes i literally cry...this is a masterpiece, Ollounder and LEEZ are great producers and Dreamcatcher is literally the most unique and catchy group music wise...I was there from their debut (unfortunately not when they were Minx 🤣) and seeing them growing through the years make me feel as a mom 😭 they're so beautiful and talented
