I am very impressed with this piece of kit. It actually does CCTV. Apart from I haven't yet worked out whether I can view the cameras from a UI across the LAN, it has been behaving perfectly.
Very well packaged and the overall system looks to be well built. I have noticed a little but of noise coming from the hard disk drive. Time will tell if that is an issue.

Camera video quality is good. I like the smart events it picks up. For example, you can turn on a 'Pedestrian & Vehicle Detection' smart event
You can keep everything entirely secure on your own network which is very reassuring. You get absolutely everything you need to connect 4 cameras over PoE to the base which already has a 2TB Toshiba hard drive installed in it.
The app is fairly easy to use and I only got stuck in one technology loop where it would not let me register due to the warning about agreeing to the terms of service staying on top of the button to agree.
Setup was fast and easy. Mostly plug and play. Even programming the follow- intruder and light were simple.
Although the software could be improved, the app is easy to use, and setup was quick.

I got this Napcat 4MP Security Camera System recently, and I'm really happy with it. It's a good deal for the price.
The vision on these is incredible, even at night, sound is meh, but these cameras all pick up wind noise, as the other ones do, so if you want sound you would have to find somewhere to live where there isn't a constant wind, not here! Wired is the way to go
The picture quality is very acceptable for a 4k system however, as stated earlier, the software stack still need improvement

The 4 cameras are a good place to start, with the 2TB of storage sufficient for that. Adding more cameras (there's the ability to add up to a total of 8), would make me want to bump up the storage as well.
