I don't think Hyrule will be picky about who the chosen hero of the goddess is. Twilight is a farm boy, toon link is a child, and Wild is a nutjob with a justified hatred of Koroks.
Sky was a Knight Academy student, Time lived an ordinary life among the Kokiri. Not to mention Minish Cap Link was the grandson of a blacksmith and Spirit Tracks Link is a rookie engineer.
@@christopherchasteen4990 I didn't mention time, since he was the son of a knight of the kingdom.
Link Classic: 🗿
Supposedly toon link wasn't chosen by the goddess. He was just some kid and he showed up. Then the goddess was like, yeah okay, since you're here.
The Korok hate is not justified.
Only a hero, chosen by the goddess, can have teeth as tough as diamond!
His jaw strength could rival the most gluttonous of the Goron race.
Yes, that is correct.
Of course. After all, everyone knows that diamond is unbreakable
@@user-jl3rg2ff6s Was that a Jojo reference?
YES, THIS IS A JOJO'S REFERENCE!!!
This is canon, I wont accept otherwise
It is in the BoTW book. It says Link got the Master Sword when he was 12.
@@Eccentric-Entity
i know, but I'm referring to the Reaction of the Parents 😂
Same here. Link’s father is the member of the royal guard.
As far as I can tell it seems Link's parents died when he was young and I believe that he was sent of to the zora's then and met Mipha.
@@planetofortsNo, I’m pretty sure the creators gave us an explanation that he lived with his Dad and little sister.
“I literally saw him eating stones the other day.”
*that explains that one scene in Age of Calamity.*
Rocks may not be nutritious, but Link certainly finds them delicious. Also, there are at least two scenes in Age of Calamity where Link eats rocks.
@@JJ_R not just any rocks, Rock Roasts, I heard they taste like beef.
No, one was Rock Roast, the other one was him eating Rock-Hard Food, food literally made from wood.
@@Kronos_Knightyou can use ores like Diamond and Flint to make Rock-Hard Food too.
You just know that Daruk will say that Little Brother Link is part Goron.
@@methodius--9405 Right, been watching to many old playthroughs of Trial of the Sword and they make Rock hard food out of the trees in the rest zones
"honey he fought a lynel single handed AND WON"
He ate a rock, Dear. A fucking rock.
In the climatic duel later:
Ganondorf: "You still stand before me, yearning to save you kingdom even after witnessing my power? ...You have stones young one."
Link: "HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT I ATE FOR BREAKFAST!?"
Ganon: "...Pardon?"
@@samuraipanda851Goron: "Why is that a problem, exactly?" *Eyes with suspicions of bigotry
@@StormVII There's a VERY valid reason why Link wasn't given his own secret stone
@@iiokrammii693you should all know this by now! If it looks like a gummy then it tastes like one!
I legit almost pissed myself when she said "I literally saw him eating stones the other day'.
I mean canonically she’s not wrong.
AOC kinda confirmed that, and in BOTW/TOTK he could technically
that was so funny😂
I eated a rock with mud once, i don't recommend it, they don't taste good.
Link was originally chosen because he was the most courageous and kind, he was not chosen for his smarts.
The Triforce is composed of Power, Wisdom, and Courage. Link the Lovable Twink is clearly not the other two. Although...now that he has access to Zonai technology...he just might gain the other two as well...GULP.
*There is a disturbance in the Force, as if suddenly thousands of Koroks screamed out in horror, and were silenced.
I'm sure that Link is happy the Geneva Convention doesn't exist in Hyrule. Unfortunately for the Koroks.
Link practically sees a firefly and has encyclopedic knowledge about what it is and how to cook it.
He also recognizes places even a century later.
He would definitely be the sort of student that gets an A+ in the exam.
@@tarnw3301Link is clearly a Survivalist, not a book smart person. Best leave the smart stuff to his princess and age changing scientist.
@@felixthescholarlytitan4437 I played BoTW, and Link definitely knows more than the average Joe.
He knows insects can be used to create elixirs. He knows different types of mushrooms.
He has such a sharp spatial memory that he can find spots based only on photos.
He is also innovative and will try to do his own mixes to figure out recipes and in TOTK he builds a lot of intricate "machines"
He isn't only book smarts, but smart all the way through.
"Yeah, and?"
"What kind of a hero eats rocks?!"
"The one chosen by the goddess, duh!"
"... We need a new religion."
"We can't. Our rupees are literally made by the gods. We'd go bankrupt."
Later During the Blood Moon...
Frightened person: Save us Hero!!!
Link: I'm here to save y- (recognizes the guy)
Frightened person:...L-look...I know I said some things...
Link (gets himself comfortable and settled with a bag of rocks akin to a person popping open a bag of popcorn in preparation for movie night): *crunch* *munch* *munch*
Frightened person (eyes widening in horror): NO! PLEASE!
Eh his grandfather is probably a Goron
@@TarsonTalon those are gems, would he eat those too
@@bradleychan5684Roller: I Have to do this all by myself *puts my hands my head and legs inside of my boulder body and rolls to crash the monster*
Mom: "so your telling me we have to move to the castle, because our son is the hero chosen by the goddess?"
Dad: "Yes seems like it"
the disappointment is real
“Master … I have told you many times, not to eat the pebbles. There is a 89.76% chance you could decease if you digest one.”
"89.76% of dying means there is a 10.24% chance of NOT dying..." - A certain OTHER weird elf person...
Link : "10.24% chance of not dying I'll take that" *eats rocks*
Link's mom: "Link. If I told you once, I told you a thousand times...stop eating rocks if you want to get TALL!"
Link: "I can't hear you the rocks are too crunchy" - and this is why link remains a short chaos gremlin.
@@AnthonyGladbach
It's not 99%
“I literally saw him eating stones the other day.”
“Now let’s be fair dear, he was having an eating contest with some passing Gorons…and he won…”
“Mum, dad, look - that Daruk guy’s finally starting to wake up from his food coma!”
DARUK: i lost a Rock Eating Contest... to a kid? Alright kid, from this day forward you shall be known as Link; Brother to Gorons.
I would be invested in a story where Link still has his parents with him and see how grown up and mature he becomes.
Link: (Cooks food out of monster parts that is a 5-Star dish)
"...Should we tell him that the monster parts are usually used in potions, and not in meals?" "No no, let the boy cook. Just so long as he doesn't throw in any ancient gears or such."
Link: "*Ahem*, it was Rock Roast that a traveling Goron gave me, and it was delicious!🤤"
Link who well knows Gorons eat rock roast says in response to his parents: "Well EXCUSE ME, bigots!"
No no its “Well EXCUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE ME , bigots!”
Young Link: What a sec? How come HE didn't age up to wield the
Master Sword, yet I did?
Fi: I learn from my mistakes. Leave Hyrule without an Hero and the Sacred Realm without its seal for seven years was a miscalculation
@@Adept0eX You could have just told Link to use the down-arrow button to recalibrate.
@@aelegriniv1649This made me laugh more than it should’ve.😂😂
Master Sword: I once thought that a younger hero would be a nightmare scenario. Undisciplined and reckless.
But after seeing the results of a dark lord going unchecked and unchallenged for nearly a decade I realised the mistake in my decision
My theories, the 7 year sleep is required to act as the 13 heart requirement
Theory 2, Fi was waiting for the 6 bravest people to get stuck in the 6 temples so Link can awaken sages
Don’t forget Link eats a rock roast in Age of Calamity, so him eating rocks would not be out of the question.
Age of calamity is basically fan fiction anyway lol. If you want to talk about link eating rocks, throw some flint in a pot on botw and call it a day 😂
"I'm sure that the goddess will have him moving up to eating frogs or something, sooner or later."
Man has a heart of gold and teeth of diamonds.
"Oh, wait, was this the sword that was protecting our village from the hordes of monsters by sealing them away? Okay, I'll go start packing our stuff, you get the cattle sorted."
Isn't that the setting for Secret of Mana?
@@SunsetArchon Now that you mention it. Yes it is. I knew I wasn't original, but I couldn't remember what I was copying. XD
@@SunsetArchonAlso Minish Cap and Wind Waker.
@@lnsflare1 well actually in Minnish cap the sword is destroyed
@@SunsetArchon"No honey, you're thinking of Potos village, who banished the kid who pulled out the sacred blade. If you ask me, though, I don't think the protection would've lasted much longer, judging by how rusty the sword was the last time I visited the place."
Unless Link and his Dad recently got back from some unknown trip to the Hyrule Guard Training Grounds (located close to the Lost Woods), it doesn't make sense for Link to randomly show up at his family's house IN Hateno Village with the Master Sword. Link's parents would've noticed him gone for days on end.
What comes after is really saddening for Link. The he burden he is carries which is too much despite the stake Hyrule is in. But he stays strong and silences any burden as if it was necessary.
From what I can tell from Mipha’s diary, he was a happy and energetic child before he becomes stoic knight who can barely smile. When you are the Hero of Hyrule, being chosen by the Goddess Hylia is both a blessing and a curse.
Silencing the Koroks is necessary.
I appreciate that they remembered that Link’s dad was a captain of the guard.
Young Wild Link
Daruk: tell all the other champions, they better eat their gravel if they wanna keep up with Daruk.
Link: I've been eating gravel and stones since I was a kid, I can keep up with you easy.
Yknow, a child link being able to pull the master sword instantly but an older, amnesiac one cant implies that he was mentally and possibly even physically stronger as a little gremlin than a trained knight with amensia. Makes sense tho, since waking up into an apocalyptic world, and being told you have to kill the reason the world is as it is is probably gonna do that to you.
That just means he's immune to having rocks put in his stomach.
Mans was blessed by the Gorons
I would love to see this as a comic series. Where link isn't just some stoic knight. But where Link is just a goofy kid with a ton of overconfidence, even if he can't actually wield the Master Sword yet.
"Why does our goddess choose a child that eats rocks, just why?"
Ah yes, the reincarnation of the Hero of Time.
Eats stones like an honorary Goron
Betrothed to a Zora Princess
Got one-shotted by a Gerudo King...
Plus, he even has his own Mido/ Groose in the form of the Ravioli.
In one timeline he got MARRIED to a Zora Princess. Heck one fanfic stated he had FREAKING KIDS with Melpha!
This just reminds me of the beginning of legend of Korra, when her family found out she was the avatar. Hilarious, I love it. I except this as canon
Not to be that person but you mean ‘accept’ not ‘except’
The goddess: Hey, as long as he gets his job done and isn't evil, he can eat flowers as dessert for all i care
Or Bodyparts of her dragonified Tens-of-Thousands-of-times Grand-daughter
He turned into CDI Link!
'Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-'
@@gdeproductions1225Me princess
You have just summoned an unspeakable evil. What have you done!!!!
The voice actors team is incredibly talented, you can feel the annoyance in the mom's voice and somehow link and his mom share the same voice actor who makes two different tones, I love this channel because the voices and the editing makes me feel like the comic is alive, and it's more funny than if I just read the comic while seeing all the panels at once.
Also yeah I could have said that on a video longer than 18 seconds, for example the one with the Links at Kakariko village
Awesome Video!
Imagine being links father hanging with your mate and your son witch is strong and brave but pretty normal suddenly says yo wassup dad….so I found THSI really cool sword I almost wanted to trade it for a cool stick
This rumble will always be special to me. As I said during said rumblethon I was post brain surgery, and you guys really brought me a smile while I was stuck at home
That spit take was beautiful.
Man was eating stones damn he really getting ready to fight a demon
His mom just doesnt understand how delicious rocks are, just ask the gorons
He got that Goron in him 💀
This is legitimately so cool
"To be far, he cooked the stones before he ate them."
I'm sorry but TFUCK how he entered in lost woods with out no one notice
And thus the true chaos began
Instead of actually talking, he would just tell his parents “Hyah! Agh, huh. Hup, hyah!”
guess being a chaos gremlin is a requirement of worthiness
Link, in the player's hands, is typically 'Chaotic Good' Alignment. In my hand's, he's Lawful Evil. (Other people hate Koroks. I hate Yiga, and use EVERY OPPORTUNITY to abuse the heck outta their drip).
Yiga in Disguise: "Hey, don't stand near me in uniform! You're going to ruin my ambush!"
Link in Disguise: "It's funny you say that, because mine's going off without a hitch."
Link's Ambush Jingle: czcams.com/video/po_kSop8ONQ/video.html
There's a reason he has the triforce of courage, not of wisdom
That link is a child prodigy
Yeah, he still does that.
The ability to eat rocks seems to be part of the process 😂
Ah dammit I went to see the full video to see if there was more but that is it
And this begins links adventure
Link was probably like “Oop”
Link: Let me show you what I have!
Links dad: We're moving now
Goddess's requirements for a hero:
- Be named Link (optional)
Yeah its strange how most links really arent that guy at first and even fail in some cases but they always become the right man for the job or their sons end up being the right guy
I think it doesnt exactly matter who you are, as long as you have courage and are lucky enough to embody that part of the triforce i guess? Not every link is link but they are all link in the end
Dad of the Year.
At this point all the people in Hyrule knows that the chosen is a hero crackhead due the historical precedent
That’s the cutest fucking shit I’ve seen in a long time 😂💕
This so cool
Damn in randomizer, Link found the mastersword first thing? This run (reincarnation) is gonna go crazy.
"seems like It"
yes.
smol link is another best link
they were some tasty lookin rocks man
Eating rocks is a Commons delicacy among links 😌
so thats how link got his name rock eater 😅
Supportive dad
HELP I FOUND THIS ON PINTEREST A FEW MPNTHS AGO-
I want a zelda game where we play a litteral child, not like wind waker or he just accept being a hero that will defeat evil incarnate, imagine a game where your just a little farmboy then find the mastersword except you don t know how to wield it and people don t believe you to be the hero (and he doesn t believe in himself too)
Okay thats adorable
Okay this was cute though lol. This Link give me Finn vibes from Adventure Time.
Darnn so true!
Naw that pretty accurate hylia has a type
Well, he was part dog in one incarnation...
Lmfao that's the best
Ah yes stone a food chosen by the hero he training to eat the infinity stone and stop thanos
Wait till they see him smashing pots......
I can’t imagine anyone being annoyed at getting to move into a castle
Imagine some rsndom guy finds it before link, does the dungeons, then at the climax of the fight with ganon it's revealed he doesn't have nor know what the triforce of courage is and ganon and Zelda are like "Omg, this is just some random guy"😮
If only OoT still had his parents, and wasn't led down a lonely path of discovering his lineage and destiny all on his own, while having his innocence stripped of him by a seven year sleep
Cool i want that voice for games
Keep him OUT of Goron City.
Dear god. The next hero... is only 3 feet tall
Even in age of calamity and botw link can eats rocks😂
Where did Link even live before that? The castle is the closest civilization to the Korok Forest.
and Rauru is Merlin, complete with Archimedes the owl. UP, down, that's what makes the world go round... :D hhahahahhahhahha
Half hylian half goron😂
Getting some strong Sword in The Stone vibes from this. Though saying that, isn't that not basically what the Master Sword is a nod to?
So the dad views the whole thing as a chore, the mom just straight up doubts her little gremlin could the hero and the other guard that was drinking with the dad realized that he's going to die to some green buff desert chad that burns down hyrule everytime some kid picks up that sword. Meanwhile Link is just "Cool sword obtained but why's everyone being so weird about it???".
No one ever said the champion had to start with the triforce force of wisdom
Frequently have any and often only earning Courage nearing the end game
Explains why link doesn’t talk about his parents.. damn they sound cold
That explains breath of the wild LOL
What I'd give to have a game Where link and Zelda have Both parrents still.
How many times it gonna be fighting Gannon
neat
The last comment has a lot of truth
I find it criminal for Nintendo to not include Link’s family in BOTW since they are in the concept art. 😤
0:06
Los padres de Link...
Yep, that sounds like something BotW Link would do.
I mean maybe the goddess put power into that stone and luckily link eat it so he choosen????
Hey, the hero is suppose to be pure of heart, as far i have seen he has more than enough to be one
