This just made my day! I wanted to start breeding this colored friends but thought i was not going to do good waking up every 2 hours to put the pups nursing for their first 15 days... ( thats what everyone said i would need to do and so i was a bit disappointed)
You don’t need to do that are patented whelping heater system allows you to leave babies and mum together 24/7
I have a PUPEZ whelping box. and put a whelping mat, then a waterproof mat, with a heat pad in-between in one corner. Can I put the heat tape under these mats? My first go around and your right, by mom hates the heat pad I have in the box. Your system makes sense!
The temperature only has to be set at 40 degrees? Do you have these kits for kids wading swimming pools? That is what we use for our whelping pens.

That’s the cage I have... question? What can I do about this.... the first week or so my Shih Tzu puppies are so small they can get thru the holes in my crate ... I’m not sure what to do about it... so I had to move mine to a box until big enough to go back into the crate
But a card board strip about 6” high around the inside of the cage

So I am just discovering this video, and I have puppies due the day after Christmas. If the materials used to build Deas are easily available, say at the hardware store is it possible that I could pay you for the knowledge of how to build it because there’s no way it would ship to me on time under these circumstances. Just thought I would ask. I could pay what you would normally make as profit from the service you provide. I almost cooked my babies twice with a heating lamp and the heating pads sometimes just don’t quite seem to be enough so I would feel better try out the system.

Interesting very good idea....but if using the crate wouldn’t there be a chance of small breed pups getting head caught the wires
Yes you’re very observant I can happen the simple solution for that is just to cut a strip of cardboard and stick it all the way around the edge on the inside

Hello, do you guys have any tips on how to deal and make sure to breed a female who’s had a history of silent heats?
Take her to a vet near you who can provide her with progesterone test. It give you an idea of when she comes into heat
i’ve an intact pet male that i’ve had forever. i recently bought a female to breed who has silent heats.
long story short, my boy always sniffs her pee right before she comes in.. and tries to mount her (but can’t because he’s a bulldog)
That’s how i know when it’s time to call the stud. i’m expecting 8 puppies in the morning
James, should the surface temp where the heat tape is be 40 degrees? And if so can it burn the puppies skin? Do they move away if they get too hot?

We leave at 104f the entire 3 weeks till we move to a larger crate. You won’t overheat pups. If they’re too hot they will move off it a little bit

Don't do it in a cage where you don't have access on all sides as just incase. The the little sponge things you have can move up and down so are useless.

How is that possible. If it hit Tom hot puppies would move away from it. And you have never contacted us with a problem !
