Lou Woo - Beginning Bobbin Lacemaking: How To Work A Half Stitch In Bobbin Lace

Following on from the cloth stitch, Lou Woo takes you through your first steps in bobbin lacemaking with a half stitch.
This tutorial will talk you through setting the pairs up, how to work the half stitch in slow, simple steps and what happens with the threads as the stitch is made.
As in the previous video, you will be shown some errors that can occur when making half stitch, what they look like and what causes them.
Finally you will be shown how to tie a reef knot, although not shown, you will need to tie all the pairs.

This is crazy! On polish crafting groups recently bobbin lacing was asked for, I've always thought that it will be too complicated for me, because of videos of pros making really big tablecloths and it looks sooo advanced. And today youtube dropped me your video and now it all begins to make sense! Thank you for your work, I'll definitely come back and watch more of your tutorials, it's fascinating and so clearly explained that I'm tempted to try it for myself.

such a great intorduction video!!! I always felt quite intimidated by bobbin lacemaking, seeing my mum making a lot of really crazy complicated designs, but seeing this now I'm SO tempted to get started!
