  • Hello and welcome back to my channel!
Today I will show you guys the best way to get from Phuket to Koh Phi Phi Island! Koh Phi Phi is such a beautiful island, and has the reputation of being one of the biggest party islands in Thailand!
The main area that most tourists go to on Koh Phi Phi is called Tonsai Beach. This is where all of the hostels and bars are, and you can expect not to get much sleep while you're here as music plays well into the morning in some places!
HOWEVER! There is another part of Koh Phi Phi which is much less crowded, and can give you that secluded, quiet island holiday you are searching for! This area is called Laem Tong. There is Laem Tong Beach and Leamtong Beach. Confusing, right?? But you can't go wrong with staying on either one of these beaches. The only way to access these beaches is by taking another long tail boat from Tonsai to Laem Tong, or by completing a moderately strenuous hike from one side of the island to the other!
When coming to Koh Phi Phi from Phuket, you want to make sure you arrive at the correct harbor. There are a few different harbors located throughout Phuket, but not all harbors have boats going to the same islands. The harbor you are wanting to depart from is called Rassada Harbor.
There are tons of tourist agencies you can go through to book ferry tickets. I booked through Aquabookings.com and found they had the cheapest tickets, of about 350 Baht which is a little over $10.
I took the 8:30am ferry, and was initially hoping to arrive at 10:00am as online it said the ferry ride was only 2 hours. However, with a slight delay leaving the port and the ferry ride taking actually 2 1/2 hours, we actually arrived at 11:00am.
If you are wanting to head over to the Laem Tong side, get in contact with your hotel, as many of the hotels there offer their own boat transfer service, and you may get your ride for much cheaper than trying to purchase a ticket somewhere else. My ride to the Laem Tong side was free, however I did have to pay 300 baht for the boat ride back to Tonsai to catch my ferry back to Phuket.
SO! To recap... Book through Aquabookings.com. Head to Rassada Harbor. Expect to pay anywhere between 350-700 baht for your ferry ride, depending on the time you go. Don't schedule any tours or additional ferry rides to start until about at least an hour after your anticipated arrival time. If staying in Laem Tong, contact your hotel to see the best way for you to get there from Tonsai. Anticipate to pay 300 baht for the long tail boat rides. (NOTE: many people will try to charge you anywhere from 600-1200 baht for the boat ride back to Tonsai. Go to hotels that offer their own boat service, they will sell you a ticket even if you didn't stay with them, and it is much cheaper.
So that's it! Let me know in the comments section if you guys have any additional questions!
Don't forget to like and subscribe, I have new videos coming out every week! Thanks for watching guys!

Ko Phi Phi looks great! ... and thanks allways for the infos of the costs of traveling like here in Baht. I would find it super interesting if you would do a video about the average travel costs and which ways there are to afford it :)

Hi Clare! New subscriber here! :) I’m moving to Thailand in a few months to travel solo and discover the islands. I’m a certified scuba diver (open water) and free diver and I can see how much you love it! 😊 Where would you recommend me to settle for a while to scuba dive or free dive? I heard a lot about Koh Tao but you mentioned Koh Lanta. Any advice from another underwater lover would be great! Thanks so much!❤❤❤

Hi Laura!! That is AMAZING, I am so so happy for you!! I have never actually been to Koh Tao, but I’ve heard from everyone that it is a great island but very busy and crazy! Haha Koh lanta is much more of a chilled vibe, but the island kind of shuts down completely from June-October! As far as diving/free diving, I think Koh Tao’s dive sites are relatively close to the island, making it easier to and probably cheaper to go out more often. In Koh lanta there is no diving right off the island, all diving takes 30 minutes on a speed boat to get to, or 2 hours on the regular dive boats. So that makes it a bit less convenient to go and also a little more expensive. BUT the diving at the islands we go to are some of the best dive sites I’ve gone to!! It’s definitely at least worth a visit to go to Koh Haa! I hope this helps!
