You can still get the vaccine even after being sexually active. The thing is, there are so many strains of the HPV so even as your body is fighting one strain, the vaccine can protect you against many more strains

If the lady is sexually active, a pap smear has to be done first to rule out exposure to the virus. If not exposed, the HPV vaccine is given. If there's exposure, treatment.

Inform yourself ladies . Take control over your bodies and be very well informed with what you put in your bodies. The choice is yours to make but make sure you have well researched and reached your own conclusions. (Check links below)
Never get a mammogram! Get an ultrasound to check for breast cancer. Feel your breasts for any abnormality regularly but it's not neccessary to go for check ups if you don't have a family history of BC or under 40. Don't expose yourself to unnecessary radiation. If you are concerned or found a lump get an ultrasound!! The procedure i believe is to go for mammograms then if detected a lump then you go for an ultrasound to confirm and lastly a biopsy if needed. You may not need a biopsy cause the ultrasound might show it's not a tumor.
Also you can get false positives and false negatives. As for treatments diet is your best friend. Watch women who had green juices and got healed. It's shocking to believe that i know.
Watch the below links and reach your own conclusions.

Ki mono.wow thanks for that you are among the few reasonable, wise people I have encountered on the comment section and on the Internet. I personally don't easily trust anything from the west especially western medicine, yes I had a homebirth and when it comes to vaccinating my babies, we have so much doubts about those toxins in the name of vaccines. We use alternative treatments when we have been unwell and treat ourselves at home with foods. Western medicine almost ruined my son's life and I said never again.

Womanhood is grace and just being able to handle everything that comes your way with grace. Remembering to breathe even in the hardest of situations. Being self aware and knowing what works for you and what doesn't.
Most of all,it's accepting that you're not perfect but doing the most with all that God has given to you..

As an 18 y/o, I'd really love to hear your take on feminine hygiene and all that bc I still feel like I struggle with some things that entail the female body, and my mum is not one to talk about such issues sadly. Yaani sometimes I sit down and wonder if I'm really taking care of my body right😂😂😂for example like after how long should you even replace old panties with new ones🤔😂or like to shave or not to shave and does it even matter?? Genuinely feel like even my peers don't open up to their own experiences even though someone else could literally be having the same thoughts🙄

Authentic conversation guys. The point that I've taken away from this is WOMEN EMPOWERMENT. I worked in an environment where my supervisor was a lady and she constantly wanted me to get into trouble or fired. She demeaned me, bad mouthed me to my colleagues and frustrated me. I left that space and started working elsewhere (my current job). Best thing that happened to me. 80% of my colleagues are women and the type of support and teaching moments I get here is more than amazing. We literally have each other's backs and push each one of us to go for what they want

Ivy talking about women empowerment and having women bosses. i can relate. my previous boss who's a woman just hated me for no reason. she would talk to me nicely but talk nothing but trash about me to other people. she would deter me from going for team building just because i was working on contract basis, the HR had to intervene, she didn't want me to participate in companies' sports competitions because i could get allowance. a certain period i got sick because i was overworking and she could not allow me to go on leave. my colleagues could go on leave and every time they did i had to cover for them, i was handling the most work as compared to others in that particular department. it was heartbreaking honestly.I'm currently not in employment but i pray that my next boss does not belittle me the way she did.

wow where to even begin, this is one of those topics you just sit and you are just nodding in agreement and realisation and you are like ow snap! All aspects of womanhood are very involving I feel especially because we are living in an era of empowerment but then we still have to deal with the older version of the society we grew up in that mostly still govern our train of thoughts, it honestly is draining but I was talking to a friend (hey sheila) and we said that we would rather know that we need to make our own money, have a career that you actually enjoy and not just get the bills paid, that we will probably get married or date a man you would never have imagined being with, have the HPV shots, get the contraceptives and be in-charge of your sexual and reproductive health, decide if you want to have kids and if so how many, also know that your body is the best as long as you understand it and dress it so you most of the times look like a freaking goddess, as in the list is endless and I don't want to write an essay but I am sure you get the point. I still have a handful of years before I turn 30 but because of platforms like this I cannot be scared I will not be scared but be very deliberate and intentional in the decisions I make so I can have a life that I am proud of. Thank you ladies you are amazing.

Interesting topic. Waiting for part 2. Also the reason as to why 20something year olds are being diagnosed with hpv or cervical cancer is because of having multiple sexual partners and the numerous vaginal cleansing soaps out here. The vagina is meant to clean itself naturally through regular spotting especially after our menstrual cycle. Buying over the counter vaginal drugs should be banned.

I've also seen a case of a woman who got cervical cancer right after the hpv vaccine. She got it cause her mom had it and she wanted to avoid getting cancer. She had just watched her parents and one uncle or aunt i believe who died from cancer all in 2 or 3 years. And she said no to chemo. Started juicing among other things and she survived and completely healed. The irony is that she went there to get immunity but got the actual cancer in the end.

So gals y'all are good! There's no need to get mammogram in your thirties, a manual breast check by an MD at your annual and a monthly self check should be enough!!

Would like to highlight on that point on knowing how your partner makes money and other details. The lady needs to show genuine interest coz only then will your partner be willing to tell and teach. Most ladies tend to sit back, relax and enjoy as long as the money keeps coming. Then get shocked when partner is gone! My advise is if you are not busy in your own field/career, get to know A-Z about your family finances and everything else. Be involved.

Brilliant conversation on a wide range of important topics. You are all such well grounded Ladies!!! I strongly believe a woman should strive to be self reliant and always!!!!! develop a financial independence they are comfortable with.QUESTION!!!!! Men not sharing financial details/ finances, is it a "man thing", that is ego related? An African thing? Is it a traditional/cultural norm? Or a generational gender expectation? would like to know.

I'm shocked to see how strongly Ivy and Shix feel about not disclosing their incomes given that they have families with children. Ama they make more than their spouses but still want to be taken care of? What's the connection? 🤔
