Calling Jokic a stat padder while celebrating Lebron is absolutely hilarious 😂 Jokic had 3 games with 10 or less field goal attempted in the last 5 games. He doesn't care. Lebron maybe has the same amount in the last 1000 games. I remember the game in which he hurt his groin he stayed on the floor injured just to hit a shot so that his 10point streak was kept alive. What a statpadder clown 😂
Love it when the Lakers beat a garbage team and people post his stats on SM being like “20 years of dominance!” Ignoring that the Lakers are going to struggle again to even make the playoffs.

@@LaymensLament In that game lakers lost bc lebro wanted to keep his streak alive and stayed longer on the floor just to get his 10 points in taking a place from any healthy player who could at least try to win the game. I been watching nba since the late 80’s. They always said the mvp is about how much impact a player has on his team. That said Jokic should be getting his 4th mvp in a row and MJ should’ve been MVP every single year he played
There are other players who have had franchise-changing impact on their teams, who put up elite stats, who played at the same time Jordan did. Like Magic and Bird, who each won 3 MVPs and, in my opinion, deserved them.
It's funny that Kendrick Perkins accused Jokic of being a state padder when Lebron has straight up been caught looking at stat sheets during blowout losses. Yet, I've never heard Perkins or anyone else in the sports mainstream media accuse Lebron of Stat padding.
It’s cause he’s black. Kinda funny in their “all black, we don’t do diversity hires so we can keep it way” club, they insult Jokic who is a literal foreigner. Remember, a foreigner from the Balkans is never more oppressed than a black american millionaire!
That just goes to show the racism in the game. Jokic being white is a major problem for the NBA and for those who comment on the nba, especially non-white people commenting on white people.
Kendrick Perkins career stats: 5.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.2 blocks as a center. It took Jokic not even 3 years to get more points than Kendrick did in his 14 year career (4200 points)
Jokic epitomizes why basketball is such a great sport. Basketball IQ, passing and assists, scoring and scoring efficiency, rebounding and defense are the crucial elements defining great players, not trash-talking, vertical leap or speed.
Jokic is the exact opposite of someone like Embiid or the GOAT of stat padding, Lebron. Total team player and if he faces a bad team, he's not going out of his way to score 50 points. He does not care about the MVP, mostly because he doesn't like the limelight.
@@arkadiuszrogala1359 Its the truth. You just can't accept it. The guy says it himself everytime he loses a series or is on the verge of losing a series. "Look at my stats". Without Jokic, the Nuggets would absolutely SUCK. With Jokic they are title favorites. There isn't a single player in the league that makes such a HUGE difference for his team.
At this point, whenever Jokic senses the refs are rigging the game against him, he barely shoots and instead focuses on passing, rebounding and defense. Given how the refs have behaved this season, it's a prudent choice. However, Jokic can still score 30 points very efficiently if he wants to. He proved that when he played the Warriors the other day.
Jokics play elevates his teammates play as well. Its much easier to make those cuts, to set those screens to play defense when you have a dude who is gonna get you the ball, and involve everyone
Keeps his cool pretty well too considering refs seem to be screwing him constantly.. Even that first dunk, defender grabbed the rim.. see them double and rough him up ALL THE TIME, yet if HE plays that aggressive gets called. 81, 80, 86 lololol damn !!!
What I think, tho maybe not the number 1 priority but, in the games when he facilitates much more than shoots, he builds his teammates confidence. Like imagine you are a number 8-10 on the team and you can have a game scoring 10-15 points while the MVP of your team facilitates you. For the guy that sit on the bench all the time it must be a special moment.
Love this point One night a star player can't make it happen, and there is the advantage that the bench player can exploit. He is ready to do that because 2 weeks ago Jokic was feeding him and mentally prepared him to step into the moment. There is a reason the team is strong is the synergy from working together at a high level, not just expecting the star player to save the day. Thinking of MJ, LeBron with the Cavs, Kobe without Shaq, etc ...
The Heat despite their offensive woes in periods of the game were still the best defense in basketball heading into that finals. They threw everything they had at Jokic and he had an answer for everything. Bam in my opinion wasn’t even getting cooked it’s just that every option for Joker on offense is high percentage. Cut off the ass, he turns for a jump hook, shut that down, he’ll hit you with a drop step to the bucket, take that away and you get hit with a quick sombor shuffle. If all else fails he has Murray to kick it to off a screen for an open shot or zip it to the corner on a cheating defender. The man is a basketball god.
THIS comment exactly. It's his shot selections. It's an endless answer for every programmed move against an opponent. Ain't perfect but it works for him.
Jokic is the ultimate team player. He just happens to be an absolute stat monster, the best player in the league, and the new prototype for his position. If i had to pick 5 guys to win a game, Jokic is the first guy I'm picking. He smashes points, while making everyone around him better, and thats a player you definitely want to build a team around.
The refs are screwing Jokic over worse than they ever have. It's dramatically impacted his stats. Meanwhile, the refs are letting Embiid and Giannis flop and commit offensive fouls whenever they wish. This has dramatically impacted their stats and made them seem to be much better players than Jokic is. A lot of people are too stupid to see what's going on, so they think Embiid and Giannis are the MVP frontrunners this season.
@@Interstice1994 I am still baffled he was not fired. Imagine white guy saying Lebron only won MVP`s because he is black. He would be fired on the spot.
I laughed when you called him a 7' John Stockton. That's my go to line now. Joker answers the question: What would it be like if John Stockton was 7' tall lol
I'm the biggest Utah Jazz fan, so I both love Stockton and like taking jabs at the Nuggets. But credit where is due, peak Jokic is IMHO better than Stockton ever was, which is nothing to be ashamed of. This guy is a monster on offense and has been for the last few seasons, creative and effective equally.
Nikola Jokic (Serbia), the best NBA player in Nuggets history, Luka Doncic (Slovenia), the star player of the Dallas Mavericks, and French center Rudy Gobert (France). It can be said that the image that people had a quarter century ago of ``European players = role players'' has now been completely overturned. Without Dražen Petrović, there would not have been as many NBA players from Europe.
Hey, awesome content. Love following your work. The only thing I do disagree with is saying Jokic has no vertical game, he has been leading the NBA in rebounds. I believe that counts for verticality. He just doesn't spend energy on something he isn't best at and that shows the intelligence of a player when he uses his abilities to the maximum of their advantage. Keep it up!
I’m not a Denver fan but I respect the hell out of them. They won the finals without a superteam. Jokics finals ring is worth more than any of the superteam rings. Also gotta love how humble Jokic is and how he spreads the love around his team which is the complete opposite of a certain unnamed “superstar” who takes all the credit and none of the blame.
Golden state first ring was done without a super team they made themselves a super team before their first ring noone cared about curry and klay they were not even considered among any great players
Jokic is the epitome of fundaments and work ethic. He just gets it done and does it the right way! Every play he makes he makes LeBronze look more and more stupid.
Current NBA players care way more about stats that winning because thats what gets you paid today. Players can go an entire career without winning anything but put up gaudy counting stats and they get paid like they are prime Kobe. Basically every additional point, rebound, or assist you get trasnlates to another million dollars a year in salary. But being on winning teams and contributing to championships has almost no correlation to your pay. Take a guy like Kentavious Caldwell Pope. He was instrumental in 2 championships and pretty much every team in the league would choose him to add to their chances of winning over someone like Jordan Poole. But Pope makes 15 million while Poole is making 28 million. The difference in salary is almost exactly the difference between last seasons pts + reb+ assists.
On the one hand, yes, the world is structured in such a way that all these top 20, top 50 in any field, not consciously, but humiliate or belittle others. Like “Where is player A, is he worse than player B?” Already at this level of discussion, we often dig into the shortcomings rather than looking for the positives. On the other hand, when you see how Embiid runs after stats , just so that the left streak does not end, and Jokic in the game with Detroit gives Murray a chance to gain confidence, frankly not caring about his statistics, in a conditional confrontation between Jokic vs Embiid, you take the side of Jokic.
I think that Nikola is doing this so that the front office takes a look at the players around him, to keep them on the team and pay them accordingly, instead of treating them as pawns. Jokic isthe most important player on that team, but if he can help his teammates to show "Hey, this isn't the 90s but we don't have to rebuild every year, we have the tools and we communicate really well, don't mess the team up, we need no "stars", the team is the star" i'm sure that the team will win more than 1 championship, just like the 2010's Warriors that kept their formula throught the decade.
What's ridiculous is that Jokic got called for flopping last game despite being pushed by 2 hands, the NBA looked into it and said it wasn't the correct call but that's it. He has been fined and penalized for this more than once this season, which is absurd because he only gets 6 free throws a game despite playing a ton in the paint and constantly getting hacked. If he doesn't react he never gets the call, but if he does show any reaction they want to say it's flopping. Meanwhile the are other players who get twice the free throws per game and react by jumping and literally flopping in the air like a fish all the way to the ground, yet they never receive any scrutiny.
This cat don't even care about playing in the nba. I think he literally just came here so he could make the money and get out and go back and live his life back with his family. In my personal opinion. He considered it he considers it his job more than his passion, Of course I could be wrong.
You're not wrong, he doesn't like the NBA lifestyle, or American food, or American way of life, but he's getting ridiculous money, so he sacrifices. That's why I believe he'll retire early, since his playing style and height could allow him to play until he's 38 at least.
He got mad respect from us when he said he does not love basketball. He said he likes basketball, but his love is for his family and his horses. No showboat - all substance
Yeah i dont think hes really passionate about basketball as he is about other things, but dont make a mistake there is no way he could be so good without actually putting in work and effort. Sports might not be his life like some other athletes that sacrifice everything else in their life for it but he still has to put in a lot of work
Yeah, if he had played 38 minutes, he would have gotten 12 rebounds, 25 assists and 8 blocks. But he sat out the 4th quarter so the rookies on his team could get much-needed experience. Embiid and Giannis never would have done that. They want their stats and their MVPs.
@@PlanetOfTheApes999 👏👏👏 ! They are a very smart team ! If It’s a blowout , just rest your starters and let the rookies and bench players get some playing time.
What i love about this is the fact, his team probably going to have comradery more than the other. Getting humbled but also benefitted is the most efficient way to have comradery.
2:30 is such a great clip. he's going slow, using his 7' body to frame out the defender, manipulating the floor with his eyes, looking like a clumsy oaf dribbling the entire way down the court with his left hand, and he's unstoppable.
@uncut hoops: do a video on how the refs rigged the game for lebrons lakers and stole it from the raptors as well as the bad calls against the clippers. Its so vlear stevie wonder could see. Lebron is such a great player he needs the refs help to just make the play in tournament... wow.
Jokic is the new “Rodman”. What I’m saying is that he is taking on a role that he isn’t built for. Rodman was a defensive beast but no bigger than MJ. Being able to guard and shut down players in positions 1-5 was such a big deal without scoring. Jokic is built like a traditional center but plays like a point guard. I don’t see him as a center that really guards the paint like Shaq or Robinson. Jokic makes his teammates better by being a playmaker. Getting assists first before scoring is a usually meant for a smaller player. Jokic is the opposite. He will end up scoring when he is open or when the play allows it, but he is such a great facilitator.
people for the last 20 years or so have underestimated how much of the game of basketball is in the mind. All the greats know that that is silly. The most athletic guy in the league is usually on the bench, at least until he learns how to use it. No one achieves what Jokic has without mastering the game within their mind. Many have done it without hops but none have done it without thought.
Jokic just operates on a level above everyone else. You mentioned the pistons game. That game came right after MPJ correctly and diplomatically said he wishes he and AG could get more involved in the offense. This came after a series of poor games where Jamal’s usage was through the roof. Jokic came out and got the ball to MPJ and AG and it was glorious. Jokic was backing up MPJ and trying to influence Jamal, and, it worked. He is next level.
If Jokic could be added to any roster from NBA’s past, he would have been a solid fit for the 2004 Detroit pistons. The 2004 pistons strength was about defense. Defense is a team concept, everybody gotta show up. As a team work focused team, Jokic would have fit right. That team would have appreciated his attitude and ball sharing to help find open team mates and help win games.
Jokic has never reminded me of stockton. Reminds me of shaqs dominance, paired with lebrons playmaking and basketball iq. Sprinkled in with some extremely clutch shot making. I hope he wins a 2nd championship and secures himself among the top 10.
When I saw gollum talking about the precious as in the MVP, I immediately thought of Embiid. The ultimate stat-padder. Guy is missing games and showing up for cakewalks, so he can keep his 30-10 streak alive. The dude complained for MVP for 2yrs, until they basically pulled the race card last season and gave the MVP to him instead of Jokic who had overall the bettter numbers and impact on the game.
Wow, it’s almost as if just playing together as a team and focusing on the process of teamwork will build you stats naturally! Jokic completely gets this, and that’s what most of these Euro players understand I feel like! Hence why we’re seeing such a big increase of these euro players abilities!!
Stats I'm seeing - 80% from three point range - 87% for field goals - 10 assists a game. So he is twice as effective from three point range as the best of the rest of the league and has 10 assists per game. He averages a 'low' 22 ppg, yet his play contributes to 40+ points per game. I have always been a Magic Johnson fan because his skill set worked to make the players around him better. I'm seeing the same thing with Jokic, plus the way he passes the ball is so unusual and effective. However, why isn't his team running other teams out of the gym? The games are mostly close contests.
I think Jokic is trying to pad Jamal's stats a bit rn to get him a boost for all star. After that he should go back to normal dominance rather than full passer mode.

Jokic is literally the embodiment of unshelfish, championship caliber basketball.... he has potential to be one of the best if not the best to ever play in the NBA... i mean, let's hypothetical this for a sec... he wins 5 more rings in the next decade, at the pace of his stats, if he stays healthy, he literally could hold most stat records... he could at that point be considered the greatest... I cant wait to see the future of him
Pass for the team to score - IQ Pass to get the assist - padding Rebound - Hustle Steal mates rebound - padding there's a fine line between the two but if you watch the game, fans could see who's padding.
Jokic is doing of the opposite of trolling, it seems to me. This gentleman who prefers team play to stat padding, who doesn't care enough about legacy or others' notion of greatness to do stat padding, why would he care enough about beef and psy-ops to go trolling anybody? No, in my opinion, the only people using the word 'trolling' here are the entertainment-media types who make their living off of stoking fans into eating more content.
With Joker its less Puff more Stuff....Younger fans enamored with Puff'ed up Stuff that usually doesn't hold up to scrutiny...Joker should be the clear MVP....but I don't think it will happen...especially if SGA continues leads OKC to the top of the pack....This has been an exciting season so far..(sans the lame In Season Tournament).
My favorite part of this video was the game against the Lakers when LeBron was right next to him and just watched Jokic pivot and score. LeBron didn't even move.
I love humble superstars over cocky ones. Imo they are even better PR for the game. For example, I was never really interested in baseball, didn't even fully know the rules until I found out about Shohei Ohtani. Superstar who loves baseball and is very humble and respectful towards others. Had he been a huge show-off, it would have been repulsive more than anything.
They would never wanna upset daddy James like that lol
@@whodatking26 Too bad that because of LeBum the NBA is tanking now.
Perk routinely switch up who his guy is and throws them under the bus to further his own career. Started with Russ, then KD and now Lebron.
People slept on the Nuggets last year and they appear to be doing it again. Repetition is the father of learning... Apparantly not for everyone
Repetition is the father of learning and necessity is the mother of invention. So that means that jokic is both a mother and a father.
I was telling everyone that they been fitna win the Championship cause how well they held do1st seed spot in the west conference
Jokic is the exact opposite of someone like Embiid or the GOAT of stat padding, Lebron. Total team player and if he faces a bad team, he's not going out of his way to score 50 points. He does not care about the MVP, mostly because he doesn't like the limelight.
He used that game to coach his teammates to shoot better for the championship.
LeBron stat passing is a crazy take. Stop the nonsense. You’re better.
@@arkadiuszrogala1359 Its the truth. You just can't accept it. The guy says it himself everytime he loses a series or is on the verge of losing a series. "Look at my stats". The entire reason he's playing for so long as the first option is to pad his stats. It's all he has for his claim as the "GOAT".
come on bro. Dude was caught in 4k looking at stat sheets during blowouts to see what he needs to pump up. You're are better then this.@@arkadiuszrogala1359
All this sounds good but the nuggets success depends on Murray.. we seen them without him and this team was mediocre at best
Jokic is an awesome player because besides talent he has great fundamentals. He doesn't stat pad. He is just efficient.
Love this point
One night a star player can't make it happen, and there is the advantage that the bench player can exploit.
How he isn't unquestionably #1 on MVP ladder is beyond me.
Dont forget Perkin's racist attempt
Because he’s not having a better season than Embiid, Giannis, Luka or Shai
@@Interstice1994 I am still baffled he was not fired. Imagine white guy saying Lebron only won MVP`s because he is black. He would be fired on the spot.
He dont deserve it
I laughed when you called him a 7' John Stockton.
Jokic is like a big bodied Bird. Efficient shooter, ridiculous passer, great rebounder and clutch as hell.
In witch universe can Rudy Gobert be in a same sentence as Jokić and Dončić.
Gobert though?? I don’t think he’s even close to the other two.
Slavs have always been great ballers
Arvydas Sabonis deserves the credit
Giannis and Dirk left the chat
Hey, awesome content. Love following your work. The only thing I do disagree with is saying Jokic has no vertical game, he has been leading the NBA in rebounds. I believe that counts for verticality. He just doesn't spend energy on something he isn't best at and that shows the intelligence of a player when he uses his abilities to the maximum of their advantage. Keep it up!
This is exactly why he reminds me of watching Bird on the court
Jokic represents European Team-Oriented Play in the best way possible.
He's a beast!
I watch the NBA again.
He's old school tough.
I'm 59...I saw all the greats.
He's fun to watch.
What the hell does lebron have to do with jokic? Did you start watching the NBA yesterday 😂
Sometimes Jokics' arms looks like he just came out of a knife fight. He gets hacked more than anyone.
I saw Jokic dunk for the first time during the Christmas game. Hilarious be he got it down.
He’s constantly analyzing situations on the court and seems to know exactly when to pass or shoot. That’s a crazy skill.
Can’t believe MPJ is 2nd in +/- 😨 has to be the JOKIC effect!! That’s insane
One point guard you should have mentioned that controlled the game in all aspects without really needing to score in double digits was Jason Kidd
It's like the old video games where you beat it and start over, but know every level and don't even have to try to beat it.
One of most intelligent analysis of the game and Jokic on CZcams 👍
Sports might not be his life like some other athletes that sacrifice everything else in their life for it but he still has to put in a lot of work
Jocik dominated Pistons so bad he got to take the 4th period off on just 3 shots.
Yeah, if he had played 38 minutes, he would have gotten 12 rebounds, 25 assists and 8 blocks. But he sat out the 4th quarter so the rookies on his team could get much-needed experience. Embiid and Giannis never would have done that. They want their stats and their MVPs.
@@PlanetOfTheApes999 He used that game to coach his team so they shoot better in future.
@@PlanetOfTheApes999 👏👏👏 ! They are a very smart team ! If It’s a blowout , just rest your starters and let the rookies and bench players get some playing time.

What i love about this is the fact, his team probably going to have comradery more than the other.
Getting humbled but also benefitted is the most efficient way to have comradery.
great point about scoring so little yet doing so much.
2:30 is such a great clip. he's going slow, using his 7' body to frame out the defender, manipulating the floor with his eyes, looking like a clumsy oaf dribbling the entire way down the court with his left hand, and he's unstoppable.
Unreal numbers...
@uncut hoops: do a video on how the refs rigged the game for lebrons lakers and stole it from the raptors as well as the bad calls against the clippers. Its so vlear stevie wonder could see. Lebron is such a great player he needs the refs help to just make the play in tournament... wow.
5:07 exactly! Jokic transcends defense and scoring.
Jokic is by far the best player in the NBA and it's not even close
Perk is a jerk
people for the last 20 years or so have underestimated how much of the game of basketball is in the mind. All the greats know that that is silly. The most athletic guy in the league is usually on the bench, at least until he learns how to use it. No one achieves what Jokic has without mastering the game within their mind. Many have done it without hops but none have done it without thought.
A GREAT man! 😁
Clear MVP right now. Not even close. A real pleasure to watch
Dude is definitely trolling right now. Most dunks I’ve ever seen out of him!!
Mr. Sharing-is-Caring
I think Jokic is trying to pad Jamal's stats a bit rn to get him a boost for all star. After that he should go back to normal dominance rather than full passer mode.
Let's be honest Jokic is just exposing how bad lebum is and for the modern NBA they don't want that so all they can do is ignore him.

I cant wait to see the future of him
This dude Jokic, really makes his teammates better.
The N.B.A is his side hustle,he's just showing how great he is," I don't need to score to win, Just watch"-Joker.!
A lot of guys love to hate on Jokic and deep down, we know exactly why
My man :)
Jokic is the best player on the planet, plain and simple.
Jokic plays like the big guy at the YMCA who was All County in High School 10 Years before and is schooling the teenagers on Saturday morning.
A center playing smart basketball. Is a unicorn
Pass for the team to score - IQ
Pass to get the assist - padding
Rebound - Hustle
Steal mates rebound - padding
there's a fine line between the two but if you watch the game, fans could see who's padding.
Nice soundtrack.

NIKOLA JOKIC is like COCAINE so DAMN GOOD AND SO DAMN ADDICTIVE YOU ALWAYS WANT MORE
I love Jokic's game. He's fun to watch, in a league that generally sucks now.
Man Jokic so unreal i want to see him at a live game just to see if i'm being tricked
Imagine next year Jokic averages 12 ppg, 15 rpg, 14 apg.
It might actually happen, and if it does, he'll still deserve the MVP.
My favorite part of this video was the game against the Lakers when LeBron was right next to him and just watched Jokic pivot and score. LeBron didn't even move.
Jokić is an off-meta build.
Gordon is the second most valuable player, and they missed him when he was out. He is their best defender, and unstoppable when Jokic passes to him.
That mark whalberg clip was wild💀
Guy's literally thinking of the NBA as a scheme to buy more horses and wagons.
The true king right now at this moment
I love humble superstars over cocky ones. Imo they are even better PR for the game.
For example, I was never really interested in baseball, didn't even fully know the rules until I found out about Shohei Ohtani. Superstar who loves baseball and is very humble and respectful towards others. Had he been a huge show-off, it would have been repulsive more than anything. Now I watch games every now and then from the other side of the globe.
He's earned a ring. Nuff said.
