Really love this series but this has to be one of the worst written endings of the series. I replayed this case yesterday and today I wondered "how did I win that case again". Just rewatched it here and the case does have a really dissatisfying ending. You first feel like you solved the case on your own merits when out of nowhere edgeworth wants to extend the trial and gets granted his request. Then suddenly Mia Fey releases a bunch of names that don't make any sense to the player at the time. Mr. Red White breaks down and confesses, leaving the player in a total confusion why this is happening (you know it is blackmail but revealing a bunch of names does not mean you have real evidence of him being actually guilty, it is even implied in the case that he obtained crucial evidence hidden in the statue). Phoenix doesn't even really ask any questions why this did work. And the following case it isn't even mentioned at all.
The papers were suicide notes written by a bunch of people, some powerful, mentioning that White blackmailed to the point of suicide. Mia basically blackmailed him to rat himself out or be the information about the blaclmailing to be released to the press
I don't know if anyone ever noticed, but the pink-haired girl acts a lot like a neko-girl(meaning "cat-girl" for those of you who don't know), dontcha think?
