Thanks for everyone's input. The 5th race will stay BUT with the standard points (NOT 2X). The idea of the extra race is to give fast cars that may have had one bad race, a chance to make a comeback.

I’m not a fan of double points either. I love having an extra round but the double points can mean the best racer is bumped out by a mediocre one that gets lucky and doesn’t even have to win. F1 tried it and ended up in a position where the person who won 5 GP’s back in 2014 (Rosberg) could have beaten a winner of 10 GPs (Hamilton) simply through doubling the points in the final race of the season. F1 never tried that idea again.
Ya, this seems to be adopting NASCARs Race to the Championship like structure of manufactured drama.

@@pootube50 I've seen more than a few of these cars that seems to have what looks like a plastic sticker on them. I assume it's to protect from scratches and cracked windows.
The fifth race with double points should be discarded at once.
Not a fan of the 5th race or having one run that can overturn a consistent performance on a fluke.
dont listen to them. i fee that the 5th lap will ensure the strongest cars win. Leaves less room for flukes when they have to be consistent over a longer period of time.

The Retro Rebel was determined not to win, in that last race you can see him leaving the clear stretch to go and hug the curb. Maybe his sponsors didn't pay him or something
Maybe he bet heavily on himself to lose. Could be more to this police investigation than meets the eye.

Could hear the police cars approaching during the intro and knew there was gonna be drama at the end... So, McClyde (race in peace) is a missing person and his van is now evidence :o
I'm not sure who the missing person is, but McClyde is one of the two deaths.
Im loving it all. I dont care if its 1x or 2x. All of it, the new graphics, the quality in video editing and colors, there is a ton of new stuff. And the main story. Man! I cant be happier to follow you
Slicker & Slicker. Great job 2D & 3D. The sideline Police story really spices things up too. 3DBOTMAKER was the first & only diecast racing channel I started watching in April last year during the first Lockdown here in the UK 🇬🇧 and its just brilliant.

That car is Flying Nero 62 in your Orange Peel! Two superfast Chevelles! On the other hand, the retro rebel managed to get 0 points with both his cars from season 2 and todays race, bad luck to him....

Extra 5th Race did some Justice and delivered Extra Boost for 2021 KotM Season. Should there be a Wildcard Qualifier Race for Cars reached second place; yet scores 10 points above? Kudos 3DBotmaker. One Awesome Golden Race Qualify.

That Orange Peel is a mean machine Golden Girl is a very determined driver. Seems going really heavy didn't pan out for that 70's Chevelle and could see a Hot Wheels commercial "Now with real working brakes" with that Corvette as the star.

Retro Rebel just made us diecast racing fans proud! They've done something that hasn't happened often in any sport: score zero points in 5 straight events!
Golden girl was obviously damaged as result of the wreck. Hopefully that gets sorted before she rolls again.
I like the idea of a fifth round in concept. The execution in this situation I feel is a mistake.
Here’s a Layman’s explanation of why. When we look at the format, it’s designed so that each competitor attains a distinct yet close amount of points. This is designed because you never want a person to feel like their racer is down and out from the start. Which makes sense.
However, since everyone is so close in points the outcome coming into the fifth race will be relatively the same. Everyone will be close in points and the driver who wins will usually qualify. It makes NO difference then whether you watch the full video or just end. It de-incentizes you from watching the other 4 heats.
Solution: The Bonus for the fifth round should be cumulative based on their performance in the prior rounds. That way it rewards drivers for finishing, rather than cheap shock upsets

Yeah. i stopped watching it.
I stopped watching before that. What was the final straw for me was when I recorded the first hour of a race and then started watching while skipping past commercials. I was caught up to live TV in well under and hour, so I decided to quit spending Sundays watching 2 hours of commercials and an hour and a half of racing.

I really love the cop idea. You guys should definitely experiment with doing some races where cops are unleashed in the race and if your cat stalls out next to or due to a cop, your car is impounded.

I am not a fan of the fifth race for double points. First, it's generally not recommended to make changes in the scoring system after a season or event has already started. Second, it makes things unpredictable... but not in a good way. The best car should win. If you didn't win after four races, you don't deserve to win.
EDIT: forgot to say -- can you just implement a rule that submitted cars must be Hot Wheels? None of the other brands seem to be able to compete. And most of them are downright embarrassing. Literally any HW vehicle could have outperformed that Corvette.

You guys just went next level.... as for the 5th race conversation, I love the idea of the 5th race with some sort of modifier or maybe earning some sort of bonus points for fastest lap, track record, passes, KOs, style points, margin of victory, stunt wrecks post race, interacting with something on or near the track.
Daaaannnnnng GoldenGirl is a freakin' SUPERSTAR! I also feel like Retro Rebel deserves some kind of recognition for getting zero points -- has that ever even happened before? Plus, the tension's high with the cops breathing down 3D's neck. I'm biting my nails. I love this channel!!!
