honestly, it was the EP that held me a lot.
This really was incredible. I have been so excited for them but Mumbai Power is close to song of the year
Really fun set of tracks, really just mad decent tunes that are so professionally complete, enjoyed every second of them^^

What? Skrillex did something absolutely masterful and perfectly executed that makes you feel like nothing else can???? Just like we all knew he could and can. Finally this shit is something I can get behind Skrillex on. I missed this stuff. Man this was a happy moment for me. After being disappointed over and over by it recently, this was MAD skrillex. Very pleased. Very happy with the 2nd song in paticular. Reminds me a lot of like "With You, Friends"

Idk guys, I THOROUGHLY enjoyed Recess, just as much, if not even more than his older stuff. One of my favorite albums and the first I was ever looking forward to from anybody. It has a wide span of stuff on it and doesn't really seem cohesive maybe from track to track, but goddamn is it good. Love Recess.
@@stareater1870 I loved Recess as well. Post recess he had a little bit of a lul in quality, but he has been doing pretty good stuff again recently. Excited for new album. Kliptown Empyrean was amazing

From 9:30 - 9:40 you went through 20 different emotions lmaoooo but I fucking love the EP! I can finally play the studio versions at my DJ performances rather than extremely well made remakes. Plus I've been listening to the ID version of Mumbai Power on repeat forever so it feels so nice to have the studio version.
this is my first time listening to a proper Skrillex song, let alone a project, and I'm very impressed with the quality of it. both songs are amazing, the tracks could've been a bit longer, cuz we need more of this awesomeness, but I get this is just polished IDs being released so I'm not complaining too much. excited to check out the rest of his stuff

Skrillex did two great song one years ago with this album... the first one (fuji opener) is more his old style, but rinnovated, than the second, is his new style. It's future bass with a few old growl and saw sample!! But i like the album in generally!!🔥🔥

I think one of the reasons why we all love Skrillex so much is because he doesn't always get it right. Some tunes are fundamentally letdowns (Warlords, El Chapo and Right On Time come to mind for me personally) but then when he gets it right thats what makes those tunes land so much better for us. Makes his craft so much more human because it's not perfect.

I was disappointed with Fuji Opener because of the Skyclad intro. It's sad and ruined the drop. The reason I remade it: soundcloud.com/theofficialsked/fuji-opener-ii-sked-remake
Mumbai Power, originally "Fuji Rock ID", was overpowering, unique, and impactful, but is still ehh eghh uughh. You know. Sure, it gives off more life from the Fuji Rock ID, but you know, it's frustrating to hear. Beam's vocals were added which gives it some color, but oh well. I'll remake Mumbai Power soon.

@nawtystep So I saw skrillex live recently and regardless of his legacy and impact I was less than impressed, but moreso I find him trying to ride waves in current electronic genres. Fuji opener sounds oddly like demon hunter, like almost copied. This kinda thing really bothers me, when its that similar it really doesn’t seem original to me, especially when someone like Skrillex has such a large fanbase, he will get more credit than the original artists who created the sound. What’s your thoughts on this, I find it revolting personally? Love it if you could make a video talking about the difference of inspiration and flat out copying.
