Jeremy / James was a spineless Man, not man enough, had a very mean and selfish mother, what man can leave his beloved wife and child in a forest to die... He deserves to stay with his selfish parents and any other family he created.

Apparently, if there is mixed race as far back as 8 generations, its possible that there can be a throwback genetically . I'm recalling from many yrs ago and am sure that if there us a change in the genetic world, someone will correct me.
Genetics are a strange thing, I knew a black family who had children that looked white, Spanish family who had blond hair blue eye children, and came to find these family members back generations, this husband obviously did not trust his wife so nothing she said would change him.
Generally a child of a mixed race couple will have coloring in between their parent's.
I'm guessing the baby's coloring isn't as dark as the story suggests. It's possible each parent has a direct relative that was black, but it's still a stretch.
