When I made this MAP I didn’t expect more than a few fully animated parts for such a short deadline + it only focusing on my oc. This MAP follows my original character Crowsong (based off the warriorcats universe) alongside her cousin Ashkit when they are in The Dark Forest.
This event takes place after her main story has been told (but also features memories of Crowsong’s younger self + her parents)

CROWSONG STORY SUMMARIZED: 🖤
(read after watching to not get spoiled!)
This said story, which VERY shortly summarized goes:
A pale white albino cat is born from the two leaders of Corvidclan. This clan consists only of black and dark furred cats who worship and represent the bond between cats and corvid birds. Due to her fur she is shunned, neglected and despised all her life. She also gets dreams and prophecies foretold with (holding strong connections to ravens and crows in them). One of the last dreams tells her to head to a dark marsh (with a weak link to the dark forest being there, unbeknownst to her) the dark water there simply runs off her and now her final prophecy; received at the brink of madness after many unfortunate events and yet another failure has her believing that killing her family and then arriving in the dark forest will grant her an eternal black coat. Thus she’ll finally deserve her rightful place as Corvidclan’s true leader and become a part of her family and she rules The Dark Forest (and this comes true, the great evil within the dark forest that also gives some cats dark scleras did make it permantently dark after this prophecy was fulfilled.)
Ashkit was the first victim of her maniacal murder spree; and he is still unbeknownst of the rest of his family’s fate.
His and Crowsong’s confrontation left him believing it was his fault she turned out the way she did, being a young kit he truly, wholeheartedly thought he didn’t deserve to be in starclan.
Not recognising Crowsong due to her partially dyed fur returning from the swamp; Falconflight (love interest) killed her; believing this intruding cat had harmed Crowsong just like the rest of her now deceased family. With that the entire Corvidclan was wiped out in one night and Crowsong woke up in the dark forest believing she’d meet them there. With heartbroken rage she realized she’d have to suffer an eternal life doomed in hell by herself (and Ashkit).
In an attempt to numb her anger, sorrow and regret she’s now fighting her way to the top, challenging and even killing other cats to create her own clan and rule the dark forest. (Not saying she ever defeated or even met canon cats, we added them for fun cameos just like participants ocs!)
I am hoping to tell her entire story from start to finish, exploring her world and characters around her through animations, PMVs and more taking place both before and after the events of this MAP! There is a lot more to tell and so much I can’t spoil yet but I’m super excited to pursue this passion of character storytelling and the fact that so many are interested in following her story means the absolute world!

At 2:08 I love the expressions of Crowsong, I can see in her eyes and how her head moves it hurts to remember her past. it made me feel sad seeing her face. This map is so good, everyone did such an amazing job!

This was truly a stunning project, I was in awe of the sheer talent displayed here!! This community needs more maps like these; focusing on telling a non-canon story. As much as I love regular Warriors maps I very much love the concept of more original story telling maps popping up.

I literally can't stop watching this crying scene at 1:40 it was done so well and it reminds me so much of a Disney film and I love it so much. Even like the sniffling is so cute and genuinely makes me feel sad for this character.

I absolutely love Crowsong's design, especially her eyes (which is quite fitting for the MAP) and her relationship with Ashkit is very intriguing! The animators all did an amazing job portraying it, I'm pretty sure my jaw hung open for a majority of the video haha! Great work and I can't wait for the sequel!! :D
Lou, your storytelling abilities are absolutely phenomenal. I really think this is one of the best warrior stories told through a map on the platform, especially knowing that this story was written entirely yourself. You chose some extremely talented animators who all did amazing!!!! I just love how this turned out. Sadly I couldn't make it to the premiere but ut was definitely worth the wait in the end

It's better just to make no friends so you can't meet fake ones. I sadly tried to make friends and now I regret it.
I'm late but i think it's worse to not make friends because you'll never have any experience around them and wouldn't trust anyone but yourself. Sometimes you need to go through bad things to get the better out of what's good and to know not to do such bad thing again!

*at first its just a villain song, and they have no meaning to it, but they're just evil. and then you find that, they aren't motiveless, they have an actual tragic background. it's quite sad actually, they truly think there's no one or nothing that will help them in the ways they need. "i once hoped for friendship, to find a place among my kind. but those were the childish wishes of someone who was blind" and "if you depend on others, you'll never find your place" and "you see it all so clearly, the best to survive is all alone" and most of the audience, probably all of us can relate in some way, to ourselves or others. sometimes, when we're in low places, we may find it easier to deal with it by locking up, shutting down and hiding things; possibly bottling it all up. in dark, there's always light; if there's a side that hates, there **_will_** be a side that is willing to help*
*remember, everyone has problems they need to deal with, everyone has insecurities. so understand that before you might do or say something that will affect others in any way, or if you're going through someone rough, do not keep to yourself and continue in a puddle of self deprecation and self (physical/mental/emotional) abuse, find those people who will listen*

I love how much the song fits with the character. Crowsong and Tempest both share a childhood where something happens to them that makes them different/ shunned from the others. The story told in this map is amazing and the animations are flawless. This. Is. Amazing 🤩

I think this is the best warriors oc video every made. The animation is amazing and smooth, the song goes along perfectly with this beautiful masterpiece as well. And I love when you give us some of crowsongs background story, that and you added a kit in this. So I would love to say amazing job yall! And continue making amazing warriors oc videos, because your really good at this! :D

I swear this song in the original movie caught me off guard in several ways, and it always hits in every map and animatic I've seen it used in.
This is one of the most epic MAPs I have EVER seen! The backgrounds were so beautiful and gave this MAP so much potential! The animators did such and amazing job and I can’t help but re-watch this.

Been waiting for this MAP to be finished for a while, sad to have missed it's release but so glad it's done! Everyone did absolutely fantastic on it, the parts are all so cohesive and it flows very nicely.

Why are all warrior cat maps with mlp songs so good
I've been wanting to do animation for a long time, since I was like 10. At first, when I'd watch MAPS, I'd be like "wow the cats are amazing!!" But now that I'm older, I realize how much time it takes to just create one frame. It's insane.
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Everyone did such an incredible job! Those transitions FLOORED ME, and the ending?! BLOWN AWAY! I can’t wait for more! Congrats on finishing everybody!
OHH IT'S DONE AND IT IS SO PERFECT!!! I love the direction and that every part is so so good in their unique style but they fit together so well!!! Top 5 map projects and you as host, drawing the ocs of the participants is so respectful and wholesome! I'm already excited for the future what you will do next!! ;3; ❤️❤️

Everything turned out amazing, the animators did an amazing job and Crowsong is such a fascinating OC. I can't wait to see what comes next for Crowsong related projects :')

Honestly I usually turn these on for background noise, so I wasn’t even sure if I’d pay close attention to this, but I am SO glad I decided to actually watch it because this is PHENOMENAL!!!!! Everyone did so amazing, I’m honestly speechless!!!

I think I've never seen a MAP before that was so perfect. The parts Transition so smooth into each other and every style fits so perfect. Not to mention how gorgeous the artsytles are
This is hands down one of the best MAP's i've ever seen!! All the parts flow together so well, it really showcases the skill and cooperation of everyone involved! Really awesome job!!
HOLY THIS MAP IS SO AMAZING- I HAVE SEEN SO MANY PARTS AND WIPS OF THIS AND THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MAPS MY EYES HAVE EVER SEEN- DJIWODW bro the time you must of put into this was worth it! This map is absolutely phenomenal!

This is just so beautiful, and deeply packed with plot. It’s very emotional, entertaining, and the animation is just overall beautiful! I’ve at least watched it 50 times, it never gets old. Everyone here did an outstanding job!
