I made the mistake of grouping all of these Infinity Gauntlet videos into a playlist and laying in my bed as I watched. This guy's voice is so soothing (and I was a little sleepy before starting), I woke up exactly where I fell asleep on Part 1. But I checked the playlist and it played through all of the videos and started over again. I'll have to watch this series again at another time.
In all honesty the story of thanos is so tragic and sad He is just a man in love with a women that shows no affection towards him, pretty much every man in history Trying to win her acceptance he takes on the universe.. Shit is deeper than love deeper than a comic book..

I really hate that Marvel doesn't own the rights to Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, X-Men, etc. Imagine just how much greater the MCU could be if they could get the rights back.

Speaking of the Infinity Gems/Stones, at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, there was a deleted scene of Peggy that was supposed to be shown after the credits. Instead, they showed Bucky at the Smithsonian. In the deleted scene, Peggy was on a cruise ship. Late at night when most people on the ship were asleep, Peggy, wearing a white night gown with her gray hair flowing in the wind, walked to the back of the ship. She held a necklace in her hand and looked at it for a moment and then threw it into the ocean. The big jewel in the necklace had a glow to it. It's believed to be an Infinity Stone. Peggy is then seen laying in her bed. It appears she may have died in her sleep. You then see B&W images of the battles of WWII. Also in B&W, you see a young Peggy walking into the bar from the first Captain America film. The bar is filled with deceased soldiers including Colonel Phillips (Tommy Lee Jones) and Captain America's squad The Howling Commandos. Everyone is drinking, laughing and having a good time. Peggy approaches a large staircase. At the top of the staircase is a young Steve Rogers. He turns around and smiles at her. Peggy walks up the stairs to be with him. They look into each others eyes, smile and kiss. The rest of the people are looking at them and start applauding.
Every time he says, "What we see here," take a shot. But seriously, kudos to you for the in-depth research required for bringing this complicated storyline to us.
I'm 58 years old and though I knew it all. Great job. I usually try to stay away from other people summaries, simply because I have my own conclusion to some alternative narratives. But I must say, you've done an excellent summarization of the Infinity stories.

I really like these Marvel explained videos. I couldn't afford comics as a kid, so I don't have anything to share with friends or to use as reference when introducing someone to the Marvel universe. With your videos, the most I have to do is give a brief character background, Thank you again. Marvel Comics were a very significant part of my childhood and revisiting storylines through your videos is fun. The narrative is simple yet articulate. Kudos!

I did, and have had it in my collection for years, and i agree with your opinion of it being one of the definitive series in marvel history. Great sotryline, and your summed it up very succinctly. =)

Okay so basically after seeing Thanos in AoU, I've been trying to connect his IG story with the IG we see in Odin's vault in the first movie, Here's what I found out - Kevin Feige says there are 2 Infinity Gauntlets in the MCU. The one Thanos wear in the mid credit scene is a left hand glove and the one in Odin's Vault is a right hand glove. As much as this irks me slightly, it amuses me too. Infinity wars could literally mean Infinity wars. Maybe, just bear with me a second here, maybe after Thor reaches Asgard and during the events of Ragnarok he realises what Thanos' plan is. Maybe, just maybe, it's just a race against time to find all the stones/gems and keeping them away from Thanos. If that is the case, then the IG in Odin's vault is close to the Mind gem, and the Asgardians also have the Aether in safekeeping with The Collector. It begs the question, will Loki rise to meet Thanos or will Thor since he also has access to the Chitauri Scepter. If Heimdall does not lose his eyes (I doubt he will, the visions by SW were there to show the worst possible situation) then it would be easy for him to locate the Orb as well.
I have this whole series, I remember reading it as a teen, I loved every minute of it! The powers of the universe have always been my favorite part of comics, beings of immense power being able to reshape pretty much anything they want, always cool!
i really think this story is one of the best comics of all time in general. given im no like comic super buff or anything. but this had it all, great art, story, fights, adds a great amount lore, shows the exstint of a lot of superhero/villians powers. just, man it was good. so happy i found these vids by you. So in regards to the MCU, instead of the Silver Surfer, do you think the Guardians of the Galaxy are going to be the ones coming to Earth and warning Doctor Strange of Thanos' arrival?
I now know the set up for Infinity War, and if I'm wrong then hey I won't be the first person to say something on the internet that turned out to be false. So based on what Rob said up to 3:16 I can piece this together. Thor and the Asgaurdians are floating through space like at the end of RAGNOROK, when all of a sudden Thanos attacks the ship. They get decimated in the process and so Thor puts Banner into an escape pod and shoots him off to earth right after saying "Find Dr. Strange! Warn him a threat is coming!" Meanwhile on Earth Back in the New York sanctum, doctor strange and Wong are going about their normal business, when all of a sudden BOOM! Banner crashes down in the middle of their building by sheer luck repeating what Thor told him. Also meanwhile Tony Stark is out and about in the city doing some business, maybe even on a date with Pepper when he sees something fall out of the sky and crash into a building. Being who he is, he takes out to investigate, and that's how he winds up at the Sanctum in the trailers. Hulk takes the place of the Silver Surfer in the movie. Also the Gaurdians are either gonna be introduced in the movie by either coming across the wreckage of the Asgaurdians' ship, or answering Xandars final distress call just before Thanos blows up the planet while getting the Power stone
***** The Infinity Gauntlet isn't actually absolute omnipotence, there's atleast dozen other characters & artifacts in Marvel that are above it, such as the living tribunal. Also the IG does NOT work in any universe outside it's inherent one (it broke in the Incursions story when the illuminati tried to use it to stop an Incursion)
The not working outside home universe thing didn't apply to the Classic IG, which is at least multi-universal and could actually stand up to the Living Tribunal to a certain degree (LT says he can win but it won't be effortless)

I collected from the late 80s-early 90s. Seriously, at THAT time, at the comic book store I went to, Marvel outsold DC. Not every Marvel was a top seller though. Because of the current films and Robert Downey Jr, Iron Man is super popular now. At the time, Iron Man was actually a second tier character. He wasn't THAT popular. Same with Cap, Thor, Avengers, etc. The top sellers were Spider-Man, Punisher, X-Men and anything X-Men related (X-Factor, New Mutants/X-Force). Everytime, I got to the store, there were a lot of ppl buying Marvel while only some ppl were at the DC section mostly buying Batman (sometimes Lobo). Superman sales did go up with the Death Of Superman issues. Where they kept old issues, most ppl were always going through the Marvel section. At the time, DC had the image of being "old fashioned" while Marvel had the rep of being more modern and "cool"(ex: Wolverine and Punisher). I admit that was a LONG time ago. Times change. I'm sure if I went to a comic shop now, I would see a lot of ppl buying DC. At Barnes & Nobles, I glance over the comic section and DC has improved ALOT. Characters I thought of as "lame" like Wonder Woman and Aquaman (I thought the same with Marvel's Sub-Mariner) now look cool. In Aquaman, artwork is great, more action, more aggression and the way he looks holding his trident while sitting on his throne is badass. Btw, DC has always had great cartoons.

I have this whole series, I remember reading it as a teen, I loved every minute of it! The powers of the universe have always been my favorite part of comics, beings of immense power being able to reshape pretty much anything they want, always cool!

I now know the set up for Infinity War, and if I'm wrong then hey I won't be the first person to say something on the internet that turned out to be false.
So based on what Rob said up to 3:16 I can piece this together.
Thor and the Asgaurdians are floating through space like at the end of RAGNOROK, when all of a sudden Thanos attacks the ship. They get decimated in the process and so Thor puts Banner into an escape pod and shoots him off to earth right after saying "Find Dr. Strange! Warn him a threat is coming!"
Meanwhile on Earth Back in the New York sanctum, doctor strange and Wong are going about their normal business, when all of a sudden BOOM! Banner crashes down in the middle of their building by sheer luck repeating what Thor told him. Also meanwhile Tony Stark is out and about in the city doing some business, maybe even on a date with Pepper when he sees something fall out of the sky and crash into a building. Being who he is, he takes out to investigate, and that's how he winds up at the Sanctum in the trailers.
Hulk takes the place of the Silver Surfer in the movie. Also the Gaurdians are either gonna be introduced in the movie by either coming across the wreckage of the Asgaurdians' ship, or answering Xandars final distress call just before Thanos blows up the planet while getting the Power stone

***** The Infinity Gauntlet isn't actually absolute omnipotence, there's atleast dozen other characters & artifacts in Marvel that are above it, such as the living tribunal. Also the IG does NOT work in any universe outside it's inherent one (it broke in the Incursions story when the illuminati tried to use it to stop an Incursion)
The not working outside home universe thing didn't apply to the Classic IG, which is at least multi-universal and could actually stand up to the Living Tribunal to a certain degree (LT says he can win but it won't be effortless)

When I was a kid going to the comic book store, everyone was collecting Marvel. The only DC comic that sold were the Batman comics. All the other DC comics sat on the shelves collecting dust.

I collected from the late 80s-early 90s. Seriously, at THAT time, at the comic book store I went to, Marvel outsold DC. Not every Marvel was a top seller though. Because of the current films and Robert Downey Jr, Iron Man is super popular now. At the time, Iron Man was actually a second tier character. He wasn't THAT popular. Same with Cap, Thor, Avengers, etc. The top sellers were Spider-Man, Punisher, X-Men and anything X-Men related (X-Factor, New Mutants/X-Force). Everytime, I got to the store, there were a lot of ppl buying Marvel while only some ppl were at the DC section mostly buying Batman (sometimes Lobo). Superman sales did go up with the Death Of Superman issues. Where they kept old issues, most ppl were always going through the Marvel section. At the time, DC had the image of being "old fashioned" while Marvel had the rep of being more modern and "cool"(ex: Wolverine and Punisher). I admit that was a LONG time ago. Times change. I'm sure if I went to a comic shop now, I would see a lot of ppl buying DC. At Barnes & Nobles, I glance over the comic section and DC has improved ALOT. Characters I thought of as "lame" like Wonder Woman and Aquaman (I thought the same with Marvel's Sub-Mariner) now look cool. In Aquaman, artwork is great, more action, more aggression and the way he looks holding his trident while sitting on his throne is badass. Btw, DC has always had great cartoons.
I'm glad you did this since I'll never take my first editions out of mylar ever again. I'm glad I read these when they came out originally.
