My prediction is Lance Stroll stays at Aston Martin!
Very brave
There's more chance that Logan Sargoat wins in Spain than that happens...
Yeah it is pretty dicey at this moment for lance to keep his seat , hope your prediction is true😂😂

Mick Schumacher at Alpine…
…WEC team
This is going to age like cottage cheese on the kitchen counter
so you're saying that we shouldn't eat this video after it's been left out all night? 🙃
Well thats a cool take.
Can confirm.. FIA allowed Kimi Antonelli to get his superlicense
Yeah but what if the counter is in a refrigerator. Then it’s going to age just fine for a while.
Cottage cheese on the kitchen counter? In my student days that’d be at least a month 👍

No shot Bottas goes to Williams "Valterri it's James-" probably still gives him nightmares
And James literally came on Skysports and said that sainz is the driver he wants
You may wanna look up the word "literally" mate, @@jasonhenry9440
That wasn't James Vowles, and the team principal (unless their name is Toto) hardly ever comes on the driver radio during a race
@@oskymoronIt WAS James vowles who came on the radio several times to tell Bottas to do something to help Lewis in the race. Don’t know what you’re talking about saying it was a different James.

The fact Sainz will have to settle for Williams is insane for his talent but what a driver pairing for them with Albon too
If they do land sainz and manage to make even a half decent car for 2025, williams could very well shoot into the midfield, or at least very close to it
I really hope by 26 Williams has an amazing car but my hope is low I can’t help but feel gambling on Audi might be a better choice
Sainz could sign for Audi do sim testing for then and race for Porsche in WEC as they are part same group. If I was Audi would go all out to get Newey too

You know a summer break one will also happen. By that time there will probably only be a couple seats left to fill though.
@@FerrariFanForLife-xk1cw2025 F1 grid gonna be interesting.
Carlos to Williams would be so sad.
He's so underrated in my opinion.
He doesn't have any better options in my opinion. The big teams except for Mercedes have their lineup. Merc has shown they're prioritizing their young driver and that leaves Alpine, Sauber, Haas and Williams. Williams are showing they're making systematic and fundamental changes to actually develop the project, and while Haas has outperformed them lately, they haven't shown that they're actually trying to make the systemic changes needed. Alpine is just a mess rn. That leaves sauber, which I'd say is in the same category as Williams. Only difference is that Williams has already started while Audi is lurking in the shadow waiting to take over properly. It's between Williams and Audi to convince him of the future prospects of the respective teams
Ocon would be horrible for Bearman.
Bearman Ocon will have that "I will best you" dynamic. And Ocon isn't a team player, a leader, or a teacher. Ocon probably has no seat next year.
Bottas, maybe, but not Ocon.
Totally agree. At what point in his career has Ocon shown the slightest incling that he'd be a strong team least and mentor for a potential future champion. He's simply not qualified. He's not a Hulk, Valteri, or even Danny Ric. He's not even a Fernando Alonso in that regard.
Bottas would be at least consistent.
All these Ocon haters are mad. Keep crying 🔥
@@RobertoRodriguez-fe2ts not a hater. He's just not a teacher.
There is another ROOKIE with double the points of Antonelli and is leading the F2 championship and is not even being talked about which is crazy.
His name is Paul Aron.
or aron paul
Yes he needs a seat!
also Zane Maloney
it's not antonelli's f2 performance that's impressive it's his performance and consistency in the f1 tests they give him
Mercedes has been extensively testing Antonelli with F1 cars, that will be much more determining than the F2 campaign. Look at what happened to former F2 champions like De Vries, Schumacher and Drugovich.
Lawson getting an Alpine seat would be very much on brand for Alpine to not ever give a seat to a driver of their own academy (unless they have no other option) 😂
Imagine if Doriane Pin or Bianca Bustamante got Renault Alpine seat 2025 instead.
@@purwantiallan5089Bianca is wank
Watch Alpine promote Doohan only for him to pull an Oscar Piastri all over again lol
@@samuelbailey5998Except Doohan doesn't have the same pedigree as Piastri nor a McLaren seat waiting for him.
Reminder that Kimi Antonelli is yet to stand on the podium in any FIA sanctioned series
Toto is still reeling from missing his chance at Verstappen and desperately wants to find the next big thing.
WTF do you mean by that? He won italian F4, german F4, FRECA and Formule Regional Middle East - all sanctioned by FIA lol
Doesn't seem to matter to Toto. Similarly Bearman hasn't set the f2 world on fire but seems destined for an F1 drive next year. Meantime, more deserving (personal view) drivers with significant success in the lower formulas are being overlooked.
Prema haven’t got their head around the new f2 car yet. Once they do both drivers will move up the field. They both have a huge amount of raw speed
@@Hammertime4404
If they are yet to get up to speed I expect Bearman to dominate because he’s already been the fastest driver across 2-3 weekends
Just imagine if Ricciardo stays and Doohan gets a run; three Aussies on the grid at the same time.
🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
🇦🇺🇦🇺🇳🇿
the way that neither of them put Doohan in the Alpine seat is criminal
Not many people rate him but yeah... being the team's reserve driver will always give him a chance.
Considering this is Alpine we are talking, I doubt they want to promote their own YD.
Only morons don't rate Jack Doohan.
I’m Australian. He dropped out of f2 because being there for more years without winning would look bad. Which also tells us that he doesn’t believe he can win f2. Idk if he has enough to succeed in f1
@ericcartman4923 you're dreamin.
For example Zhou was beaten by Piastri directly in F2 and still got into F1 before him. So did Sargeant.
How do you guys always miss how much better Yuki has gotten since Danny joined? That is a big part of it. Daniel helps make Yuki AND the car better. They are solidly the best of the rest, so it would be nuts to change drivers.
This! So many people overlook this because Yuki has been driving the hell out of the RB and think Danny ric is driving bad when his performance is more expected for that team. No one is looking at how much growth the team has had since Danny ric joined.
Lawson's quicker though
Lets not forget why car companies even get into F1 - they're to advertise and sell regular cars. Alpine/Renault signed a deal with Chinese car company Geely last year sharing battery technology, so I can totally see Zhou at Alpine. Plus, he was in the Alpine academy so they know him well.
And Zhou isn't as bad as people slander him to be. He's not doing well this season but had two solid seasons when Sauber was Alfa.
Yeah. He received 9th in a sprint and 11th in a race, which are the best postions Sauber has got so far this season.
@@indefensible0301 too bad that he drives a car that has zero grip :(
There is a geunuine opportunity for Stroll to leave Aston Martin. I'm Belgian and there is someone (Jos Claes) who is very important in the racing industry and who has connections to the Stroll family. He has said multiple times in Belgian podcasts that Lance is not happy racing (due to the constant critics, the lack of success...) and he has interest in running the businesses of his father. There were serious discussions to quit racing after last season. He decided to stay on for a year, but there is genuine chance that he is not there for next year. Maybe that's why they didn't announce him yet.
I hope you are right. Lance needs to go.
Don't believe it.
He will stay till 2058 to break Chiron's record of oldest driver to start a GP
That would also give Aston an opportunity to sign Tsunoda, since Honda is going to be working with them.
Doohan not getting that seat will be a crime
I mean I also don't feel like Zhou deserves to stay on the grid, but at the same time (sadly) I don't think Doohan is talented enough to compensate for the money and Chinese fan base that Zhou brings. Alpine already fucked themselves over with the Piastri fiasco, I don't think there is any hope for them getting any kind of tier 0 talent in the near future.
@@tilio9380 Doohan was the fastest driver in F2 last year and second fastest the year before, which was his rookie season. He's more talented than many drivers on the grid

Let’s go another prediction video, let’s see how much changes by the time next season rolls around
Pierre Gasly and Jack Doohan on Renault Alpine could be more interesring than Gasly/Zhou.
Sad that F2 champion Drugovich isn't even considered
I've noticed that as well...what's happened to all the talks around him from months prior.
Look where F2 champion Pourchaire is and then it becomes no surprise tbh.
@@Wolfywolf7 unfortunate that Drugovich is the reserve driver in Aston Martin (pray Lance Stroll get a tumour in the brain and then you'll see Drugovich in the seat till Stroll recovers) - that is the only PLAY... realistically (you think papa Stroll will cut his own son but if he is to achieve what he said when he changed the team name from Racing Point to Aston Martin - then he might need to cut his own son) but this is for a later time kind of discussion TBH
The grid in the year he won was pretty bad ngl. We saw the same thing with de vries where he won f2 pretty dominantly in a championship with an a average gird and look what happened to him…
I'd love to have Brasilien Driver on the Grid. The Sao Paulo race get's elevated in every aspect, when the Brasilien fans have somebody to go crazy for.
Best thing that could be happen to the image of the sport would be a Brasilien and a Japanese guy in the mix for the title fight. Those people know how to celebrate and create good shots for the TV cameras. (I'm neither Brasilien, nor Japanese, just to be clear)
The Antonelli hype dying down will help him a lot
MORE TEAMS NEEDED
14:20 also remember Zhou used to be in Renault talent program
If Kimi Antonelli didn't exist, Mercedes would have already signed Carlos Sainz. I agree with Matt that Carlos will be at Williams next year.
No, you got it wrong. Its "if Toto Wolff hadn't gone insane".
He clearly doesn't exist.. Because according to our host it's Kimi AnOtonelli 😂😂😂
Another one, love seeing you pumping this video over and over
Ngl, that "driver rotation" idea from Tommy is actually dope, specially if we start having more and more back-to-back races. Just like what they have at F1 e-sports, so that they don't stress the drivers, since the constructor's championship is what really matters for them
"Valtteri, it's James. Please abort, the attempt, to get a contract extension with Sauber"
Still love how you guys dont throw alot of filler into the video. Small intro and straight to it ❤
Red Bull resigning Perez is such a weird decision, especially if you have Lawson in the pipeline (either to replace someone at the sister team or directly) and Sainz on the market. I think that was a decision made to appease Verstappen. He completely controls Perez and Perez has accepted his place. Personally I'd like to see Mick in the second Alpine seat. I really want to see if he is "bad" or if it was mainly the environment at Haas (especially Steiner openly and constantly criticizing Mick).
The situation around Antonelli is also weird. Clearly they see huge potential in him...but he doesn't exactly light the world on fire in F2 right now. But he is still so young. I wonder if it would be better to give him 1 or 2 more years in F2.
The fact that Lawson outdrove tsunoda with no F1 experience and is still being ignored feels criminal. Lawson literally left f2 and did super formula to appease doubts of his abilities, then still gets put in 5th place. They could have max, tsunoda, Lawson, and a pick of half the drivers in the grid
Its not to appease Verstappen. Do you honestly believe Max is scared of Ricciardo/Tsunoda/Lawson ?
@@fadedexile Verstappen could and would probably beat them, but never underestimate the ego of those pilots. This is Verstappen's Team and he definitely wants it to remain that way. A new and hungry driver could challenge that.
It's purely financial. The Red Bull car is covered in sponsors that Perez has attached to him. Tens of millions of dollars to help pay for the outrageous salary of Verstappen.
DR isnt that bad… TSU is just super good but DR is close to him and sometimes in front of him. So if you say DR is bad than you cant say TSU ist super good
He is 35 at a junior team.
@@filmgeschichte.Sister team* vcarbs isn't much of a jr team anymore and more like a sister team but it shouldn't matter if an older driver is there, there can be many positives. The biggest advantages of having an older driver is their experience which can help the other driver perform better and can help the car development in ways the other driver may not be able to which we have seen firsthand.
The real plot twist is RB will demote Checo to VCARB by the end of this season and promote Yuki!
Fantastic video as always. Personally, think Doohan will partner Gasly in the Alpine for 2025 (especially after Famin's recent comments), and still not 100% set on Antonelli joining Mercedes so early on in his career, although thinking roughly the same in regards to the other seats.
My prediction:
RB: Verstappen, Perez
Ferrari: Leclerc, Hamilton
McLaren: Norris, Piastri
Mercedes: Russel, Antonelli
AM: Alonso, Stroll
VCARB: Tsunoda, Lawson
Williams: Albon, Sainz
Alpine: Gasly, Zhou
Haas: Bearman, Magnussen
Stake: Hulkenberg, Bottas
Alpine should've been Lawson and Zhou.
@@purwantiallan5089 they are 100 percent gonna keep gasly bro

Who knows in 2025 Haas maybe gonna increase teammate clashes.😅
I think RB will somehow end up with Yuki, and Lawson takes the VCARB seat
They don’t want him, they’ve been clear about that
Matt always going "either or" is so funny to me for some reason 2:29
True. It is very bibilical as well.😂
I believe that doohan is criminally underrated. His first year of f2 was good as a rookie winning multiple races and his second season he finished 3rd. The first third of that season his car had lots of problems and the team couldn’t give him something to work with, but after the break doohan was the best driver on the grid, out scoring everyone else, and by quite a margin. Doohan scored 140 points from round 6-14 whereas Pourchare and Vesti only scored 119 points. So I think alpine will be very inclined to go with Jack
How's he doing in F2 this year? If he can win it would really help his chances of getting the F1 seat

Sainz moving to Williams in a multi year probably gonna cancel his plan for moving to Audi for 2026.
When Matt said Bottas to Williams, I had a flashback to “Valtteri, it’s James.” 😆
My DR3 delusion keeps telling me he'll continue his Canada form till season's end and Perez will be in a VCARB next year.
Honestly Red Bull would love this outcome
@@Duval-In-The-WallI think it’s actually a factor in having confidence to sign Checo so early, I genuinely agree that Red Bull would LOVE an excuse to get Danny back alongside max for a season or two before he retires. If he can get it together and out perform Yuki, and Checo continues to struggle I can see it. It’ll be a tough task though cause Yuki is having a career defining season just in the nick of time.
@@anthonywarne9751
It’s a tough task because Ricciardo is so damn inconsistent. If he just performed the way he did at Canada every week there would be no complaints
When Ricciardo hooks it together, he is better than Tsunoda. His underperformance made people think the VCARB was slower than it was
For me, there are no excuses, Tsunoda is doing fine, but IMO it’s gotten to the point where points finishes should be the expectation for the team
Putting Perez in a Vcarb for 2025 would be a waste of seat. He would better go home and watch his 4 kids grow up.

Putting Antonelli in a Mercedes and Sainz in a Williams is a crime. I totally understand the reasoning, but it's eerily similar to the Perez situation where a driver is in a top team for all the wrong reasons.
Is there a scenario where they put bottas in the merc and antonelli in the williams?
Considering Vowles said he's after Sainz or Bottas I would say no. Also Bottas said he wants a longtime project, never less than 3 years I assume.
No
I think Bottas will only go back if he gets a multi year deal, which they won't give him.
It still nuts to me, that RedBull is not signing Sainz. I mean how shit does Perez have to be for them to sign Sainz.
The RedBill is less competitive this year and if that trend continues they will need a strong second driver next year to secure the constructors, and Perez is not gonna be good enough to do that.
Perez bring alot of money in sponsorship
They should start reducing the budget cap for teams that have unequal driver lineups.
Lose $5 million * difference in average finishing position. Not applicable if one of the drivers is a rookie.
I think that’s the only way F1 is guaranteed not to have absolutely shit drivers take away seats from more deserving drivers.
@@paperplane-db8qf I think everyone is forgetting redbull is a marketing company
@@suchitchheda9675 they don’t get extra marketing from having a shit driver underperform.
Millions in dollars in fixing broken cars. Tens of millions of dollars in lost revenue from the WCC. And lots of non Mexican sponsors are going to ditch Redbull once they aren’t dominant because of the shit second driver.
They don't want to paid that much for Sainz, Pérez brings money and keeps Max happy. Is that really difficult to understand?
Speaking of Kimi, Kimi Raikoennen had extra stewards just monitoring him for a his first hand full of races, because he was deemed to young and experienced and a possible danger to other drivers (which he was, if they liked winning). I believe he was already older than 20 (but to be fair, had only like 11 car races done before starting in F1).
Putting some wildcards in here just because I can.

If Hadjar wins the F2 championship, he should be on the grid for RB (or they should just shut their driver program down).
I wouldn't underestimate Mick Schumacher at Alpine. Famin speaks highly of him (but I guess most team bosses do that about their drivers) and he drove the fastest laps on average of all the 6 Alpine drivers in the first three races in WEC despite being a rookie. If he does well at Le Mans this weekend (where he has been talking to Gasly in the pits), who knows?

It’s to please the CCP with F1
on the basis of his current form, he doesn't deserve one.
With stroll having a seat this statement is false
Way too much recency bias with fans, I've noticed
It's as if everyone forgot his performance in Bahrain at the start of this year. The only thing I can fault him for is his Qualifying pace on some weekends, but other than that, it's been nothing but bad luck and 15-year pit stops since Bahrain. Zhou is far over-slandered compared to the likes of Sargeant, Ocon, and even Ricciardo when he isn't having one of his DannyRic weekends of old...
When was this filmed?
Crazy how money can take a seat away from many amazing drivers and give to someone’s son

Putting aside a variety of logistical and cost issues, how good would it be to have 10 reserve drivers + top 10 F2 drivers duke it out a week after the last race in Abu Dabi every year in current F1 machinery?
Would give us all a tremendous insight into who was ACTUALLY good.

We NEED to give Lawson a seat in 2025, idc where. The guy was remarkable and knocked out verstappen in q2, when he was in the midst of breaking most consecutive f1 win record.
The q2 elimination for verstappen became a factor for max not winning in singapore and continuing his streak. Lets not forget, the alpha tauri were TERRIBLE at that time, but lawson got that team a sample of some of their only points for the season
Kym Illman said Carlos to Williams weeks ago… sounds solid
I hope they get Antonelli in the Williams in the Dutch GP.
I wouldn't be surprised if stroll tries running off the WEC with them entering hypercar next year
I think RB wants to wait until 26 for Lawson, so they’re letting guys keep seats warm for another season.
With INDYs new fox deal there gonna be looking to throw some money around on big names. Im thinking Sargeant, Schumacher, Mag, and Doohan all have some kind of chance racing in the US
5:26 Lawson never getting his debut at ths rate. Ricciardo is done. They want Tsunoda to test Lawson
