- Another voice test, this time for Annie, Girl Of The Stars. I decided to go with a more serious, "veteran of combat," style with her, seeing as she's been fighting for years and years and upwards of 40 years old. She may be the star of a kid's show, but she's no-nonsense on the battlefield.

My god this is why I love Annie. Anime trope of thousand year old preteen look. But she doesn't talk like a child, she sounds exactly like someone her age would sound, it's honestly super cool to hear
I'm hyped 'cause in the reveal trailer, she used what was basically Stinger and Round Trip from Devil May Cry for her special moves as well as the fact that her rabbit plush can fire a laser reminiscent of Ryu's Hakouken Hyper Combo from Marvel vs Capcom!

No, this is not my voice. My wife is playing the role of Annie in this video :)
I did the Skullheart's voice in, "Skullgirls Isn't Done," though that required post-production to get up into the higher range.

Personally, while I do think your voice is good and distinct, and I do like it, I think its a bit too low, and overly apathetic in the delivery, even though im sure that was the intention. Im just saying that you could do with a bit more 'flare' and 'energy' in it.
Some of the people I roll with have this headcanon that she has an Irish/Scottish accent, to help differentiate her from the other characters, and adds to her personality.

Was Annie really actually confirmed by lab zero?
No. Annie was not one of the characters that won the IGG vote, so she's not part of the upcoming DLC. According to Lab Zero, there are no plans (at this time) to add Annie as a playable character.

Id also herd that SkullGirls2 could be possibly confirmed and in the works after all the DLC are released. is there any info of this being true?
SG2 is not currently planned, based on available resources at Lab Zero. Were their publisher (or any other publisher) to decide to fund SG2, that would always be a possibility.
BDNation104 Well we can confirm that the PS4 version of Skullgirls will have full story mode voice acting and that Annie now has a VA as a result. It's Erica Mendez. (Ryuko from Kill La Kill)
While i like the direction idk how to feel about the voice much, given how even thought she is like immortal, and has fought for many years. She's still a kid, maybe like a higher voice would work with the same direction. Still really wish she was a fighter regardless
