If Malaysia doesn’t win, I really hope Japan goes to the final and Kento wins them their second Thomas Cup title, ten years after their first, where the 20 y/o Momota led the team to victory with an unbeaten run.
didnt kento retire? i mean its delightful to see him on the court but i was already in my mourning phase as i saw some news two three days back. pls let me know whatsup. thankyou.
according to Anders Antonsen's podcast, they were talking about how Naraoka wanted to change his style to more attacking starting last year after the world cup, so good eye!
@@ThePokemontrainer88 ah i see, well he does look different in his footwork, and the way he set up those smashes just show that he's playing attacking style. we still gonna need to watch his match against ctc to confirm!
he was the former world no.1, the highest win-rate player in 2018-2019, but sadly his performance went down after the car accident in 2020. This is his last tournament before he retires:)
I'm glad that momota is having fun

To be fair, 10 years ago Momota was not the Japanese team captain, it was Targo who played men’s number 1 single and beat Chen Long.
@@watchman835 now that he's the better experienced in the pool yet play as latter singles, some might say "its an easy call"
