For those who are saying jamica is champion is technically incorrect because the machine measurement starts from torso / chest & end at leg due to which jamican player leg stepped first but he didn't lean forward his chest/torso like US player did first and won.

There's nothing unfortunate or unfair about Jamaica losing this. Every sprinter knows the rules, its always the chest which has to cross the line first. The rule is universal, its to avoid situations where people extend their arms and making their fingertips cross the line first or jump headfirst at the finish line to get ahead. Lyles was faster despite his relatively slower start, he deserved it.
why isn't the foot crossing the line rule more sensible & legal? as if athletes were wearing clown shoes to cheat!

The reason why runners lean forward at the finish is because the body(clavicle/torso) has to be inside the line in case of a tie. Kishane Thompson's leg was inside the line first - but Noah's chest was inside the line before Kishane. That's all there is to it. 1:49

Rules apply the same to everyone. If Thompson's chest crossed the finish line first he would have won. Simple as that. No need to complicate the rules further. It's always the chest or torso that needs to cross the finish line, otherwise, you could just extend your arm and reach the finish line first.
