It's definitely got that great, cartoony, '70s and '80s psychedelic fantasy vibe to it: exactly the sort of thing you'd see in He-Man, or those old D&D adventure module cover art drawings, on an EGA computer game, or in a Heavy Metal magazine, or silk-screened onto the side of a "mystery machine" van! And I mean that it the best way possible - it's great stuff!

Liking the idea of adding some stippled glow in the dark paint to simulate glowing lichen on the walls. Can see using the paste combo with grit in those certain spots to create a different texture for the lichen.

Hey dude, I just wanted to say everything you make inspires me to continue in D&D. When I was in middle school and just getting into D&D I saw a documentary on model making for the game, and me being very self conscious at the time, it terrified me of not being ready for D&D and that I never would be. but now I found your channel literally the day this came out and I have a big one off in a month that I think might spiral into a big campaign. I was afraid of not impressing my players by not having any cool things to play with. I watched like all of your videos, (I now have a list of all things I need for the one off) and everything you make is a work of art. thank you for making this hobby a lot more open to me. If you see this then please PLEASE keep making videos. it helps

I made something like this recently, I can strongly recommend as well as the sort of stalagmite type rock formations...archway pieces look really good too. Just get two formations to the same height without tapering them too far at the top...then add a few layers on top that covers the footprint. Lots of different shapes work nicely with these style of rocks

I love the videos you put out concerning cost. It really is valuable finding deals in a game you love to craft for. A tip for people in finding free stuff however check out your local industries. I work in a particle board cabinetry/table/countertop manufacturing plant and I operate and maintain a 10' panel saw. Each day I throw away dumpsters full of IPB, MDF, BBAA Plywood and melamine. I have loads of 1/4" and 3/16" mdf scrap in my garage from my daily job that would have been thrown away.

My dude, just paint it right away. Mix paint right into it. This is for terrain, not for renovations. Even then you can absolutely paint it within a few hours, the time for full cure is irrelevant (source was a gold award winning contractor for over a decade). Hell read the label of mod podge, it actually takes weeks to cure, but that doesn't stop us from moving on to paint once it's dry to the touch.

Thinking of getting a 3d printer soon, but being 14 it's difficult to get sufficient funds so it's good to get more ideas and inspiration for non-3d printer crafts. Thanks!

Oooo this definitely on my list of projects now! Good tip on the non-square corners to prevent curling...tried it in past with squares and didn’t end well 😅

Hey, I have an idea for a video. Since it's almost Halloween, perhaps you could do a video about transforming a cheap Halloween/Christmas decoration into a piece of terrain or a building or something? I think it would be interesting to see. Cheers!

Very cool! I wanna try this but then instead of caulk/paint I would drape the pieces in a couple layers of TP + watered down PVA, then let that harden and paint it.

That looks good too, just takes a long time to dry. My favourite cave terrain I’ve made is from tp and glue!
