I made a lot of similar wood burning stoves and what happens over time is that the flat area where pots are used sags over time so to rectify this I used 12 ml rebar under the flat area to strengthen it, spacing each bar by about 100 ml.

@taylorbrad111 I believe you will be happy to enjoy your nearly finished stove top meal, and the pot lid just requires you to avoid contact with water while the pot lid is still hot.
Learn to use a grinder the right way trust me ! Sparks toward the hand keep fingers when it kicks ! I’ve had to take so many people like you to the hospital over the years

Then you should modify the design to where you can build it solely by drilling holes and inserting screws. Your design is going to be a bit more crude, so an alternative is to find a metal working shop and ask if you can borrow their welding tools for a DIY project and start learning
