    I just completed your first video on learning to play the alto recorder. It was fantastic! Your teaching style is exactly what I need…very patient, steady, and a perfect pace. PLEASE do more videos! You’re an excellent instructor!

    Thank you so much for making this video. I am 66 and new to playing any instrument. I have just received my alto recorder. I found your site and have only just watched your G scale video (going over parts many times) but I can actually follow along and do it myself. I have enough instruction to practice for the week. Your teaching style is straight forward and so easy to understand. you exude patience. and there is no editorializing. just good information and advice. thank you. I feel lucky to have found this site.

    This is great, I have just bought a Treble recorder, I am learning the flute around grade 2 its hard, and remembered playing recorder 60 years ago at school and memories came back and decided I needed something different to play and have fun with. X

      I just bought a second-hand treble recorder. I was in a Junior school recorder choir back in the 60s and really missed playing

    So hard to remember compared to a soprano. It's like knowing what letters go before and after a random one in the alphabet, I have to work it out every single time.

    Do you have a chart link for the alto notes? The charts I am seeing online seem to be different from the ones you are showing us. I know I am not looking at the right ones.

    Doesn't make sense to simply ignore fingering lowest note F. Needs some visual aids: finger chart, diagrams, slides of notes, etc.;
