As much as I love supernatural and psych, they weren't referencing Supernatural. They were referencing the Rat Pack. In that clip Gus says "Why do I Have to be Sammy" to which Shawn says fine his father is Sammy, but that makes you Joey Bishop. The chief said "Let me be Frank" the Rat Pack consisted of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford. Obviously the last guy wasn't referenced.
Edit: since Lachlan S decided to chim in I wanted to point out that the original comment I responded to says edited. This is because the original comment said nothing about him knowing the references weren't about supernatural. He changed his comment in response to mine. If Lachlan S had his glasses on maybe he would've seen that before looking foolish

In Good Omens Crowley (played by David Tennant) says something about how there will be no more fun drinks with little umbrellas in them after armageddon. No one in the show (or the book for that matter) is ever seen/talked about/mentioned drinking cocktails with umbrellas in them. You know who loves that shit? Supernatural Crowley!

Yup! that’s cause both shows were written by Eric Kripke and I just love to see his work and all those Supernatural easter eggs into The Boys which is a masterpiece of its own.
Supernatural S1 to S5 were written by Eric Kripke, you can see the craftsmanships of his work through the plot lines, subliminal messages, the emotions… and y’all know what happen after those seasons but still love love Supernatural one of my favorites comfort shows!
I'm pretty sure "Sam Dean" being the character's name in Daybreak is a direct Supernatural reference because the main character aka the guy who likes her (and is walking beside her in the clip) played young Sam in most of the earlier supernatural episodes!!
i think i remember seeing or reading an interview from someone who was involved in the show and they said it was just a coincidence and they didn’t realise until after!

Supernatural is everywhere!
Everytime I hear "Carry On" I'm screaming like a crazy. It was in "Reacher" and "Big Sky" too! I watch The Boys, Big Sky and Walker and I love finding references to Supernatural. That one with rabbit foot is great too! I saw a clip for Legends of Tomorrow too!

Some of these aren't SPN references but they work so well that if I didn't already know they weren't SPN references I would have believed they were lol You did a good job compiling these moments.
Yeah the Charmed one definitely isn’t since that episode came out before Supernatural was even on.

Supernatural truly changed the internet and television in such an impactful way. Even if you can’t always tell, one thing has led to another and it is so deeply intertwined with how the World Wide Web is now. Even if you don’t like the show, you can’t deny this fact.
Episode 5x06 of 911 also has a few moments that could fit in. Mark Pelegrino is in that episode and he talks about the “family business” and another character talks about him getting bored in the cage…

I'm sorry, do you not think that a show based on angels wouldn't have at least the bare minimum knowledge of known or important angels?? Do you really think a series created by Neil Gaiman, who studied religion, wouldn't have a basic understanding of religious figures? Do you not think a show that's heavily based on religion and theology wouldn't do their research on known angels and have writers be at least somewhat aware of the subject material??
You cannot seriously think that the only possible way for Cassiel to be known is because of Supernatural instead of people doing their job.
