It is SO hard to round up new releases; I understand how much work went into this. This is incredible!!! So grateful to you for sharing!
32 books on your list. Almost 32 books added to my TBR. Some very good books to look forward to. Husbands… intriguing. 🤔💙
I'm eagerly anticipating And So I Soar. The Girl with the Louding Voice was one of my top favorites last year.
That's an amazing list! Thanks a bunch 🙂
Thank you for pulling all of these together! Interested in so many of these!
Pleasure! Glad you found so many titles. 😊
What?! A graphic novel from Kazuo Ishiguro!! 😱
A new Abi Dare!!
Really looking forward to the new Julia Armfield.
So many amazing sounding books 🤩
A graphic novel in the form of song lyrics!
The Abi Dare is my stand out too.
@@GunpowderFictionPlot I might have to pre-order it…
Time to open my Amazon wishlist again... how many will I add this time?
Ok, Knife sounds INCREDIBLE. I would love to read that one.
Sandwich is also one I'd be interested in.
I STILL need to read Diana Reid- Love & Virtue is still high up on my 'to buy' list.
The Husbands sounds so interesting!
Anyone's Ghost is also appealing to me.
Ok my wishlist is now sufficiently bulked out... with more books I'll never read...
I can’t wait for Ben Myers new book.
Doesn't it sound fantastic.
Thank you so much. Not sure I need more on my list but love hearing about Australian books and I have a long list--so often hard to get here in the states. Miss the flags, hope you are not giving up on them.
Not giving up on the flags. I do them in a batch at the end and I gave myself a time limit to make this video, because there's so much happening in February and March, if I don't follow my schedule things will fall off... Anyway, this is a lot of words to say, I cut that corner this video, but this video only.
Thank you so much for telling us about all of these books, Scott! The Vikram Seth announcement is particularly exciting. I’m just about to start re-reading A Suitable Boy as part of Lindy and Jolene’s readalong so very timely!
Just so many great books. Thank you for talking about them with us 😊
Loads to look forward to. Thank you Scott.🍀
Pleasure, glad you found books to read. 😊
Many of these sound great. Thanks for the heads up 😊
Pleasure, glad you liked them. 😊
I want to be excited about abi dare and catherine newman's upcoming books but I need to read the ones I have on my shelf by them first, oops! I didn't really like niamh mulvey's short story collection so I would need to see reviews of her book before deciding whether or not it's one I should try. I dnfed 36 ways of writing a vietnamese poem unfortunately :/ Wasn't ticking my poetry boxes at all. I am so excited for fragile animals and have it on my shelf waiting for me! The premise is delicious. Blessings sounds interesting too. Anyone's ghost sounds deliciously sad (and I may also have this one on my shelf too). Butter intrigues me and it is a BLOCK of a book taking up space on my shelf to read. Surprised you didn't mention little rot by akwaeke emezi (don't worry i know you can't know about every book coming ever!). but can see that being an anticipated read for you.
I can't believe I forgot Emezi... TWICE! Also, while we're on Nigerian greats, Chigozie Obioma has a new book I only learnt about after uploading this video.
You need to get to Abi Dare - one that I think you'll love.
The Ishiguro sounds wild! Crazy town.
I know doesn't it!
Lotta neat stuff. Wouldn't mind some familiar retellings of Indian myths in my life :)
Sympathies on the immigration outrage. Used to nurse at a jail where a man poured chemicals in his eye hoping if he was hurt bad enough, he could avoid deportation a little while longer. Lotta human sadness in places where men in ties don't see humanity.
It seems to be the year for weird collaborations. China Mieville has written the novelization of a comic book series by Keanu Reeves, and Roxanne Gay is writing a romance novel with Channing Tatum. I feel like I'm living in an even more alternative reality every year. The Ishiguro one actually sounds tempting though.
I think you left out Ali Smith from both videos! In July, or possibly in October. The novel is called Gliff and is part of a duology, the second of which is due in 2025 and tells a story that is hidden in the first. In other words they're linked but freestanding.
How did I miss Ali Smith!?!?! Thank you.
Those collaborations are bonkers! The 2020s just feel like a massive practical joke.
Some real corkers in this list!
This video had 31 comments. I felt the need to fix that.
You are so naughty! What temptation!
😋
TBR 🔌- thank youuuui. 📖🪱💚💚
