Fun fact, not everyone wants to go home and play a game where they lose items if they die. It’s a video game, people want to have fun, not worry about items. Also not every game has to be deepwoken 2.0

Deepwoken isn’t that bad tho. If u die, you still have 1 live left and if u die again u can come back to life again it’s not really that bad. And also if u level up after u die 1 time, you regain your 1st live and you can die 1 more time again, before u die and go to the depths. The depths are a decision between life or death, just escape it u get back alive again, or just jump to the void or die to some mob and wipe your character. At the point u die in The Depths u definitely die forever and u gotta start a new character in the same slot.

@@bb8c Not everyone wants that type content tho alot if people don’t like the life system in deepwoken and is the main reason they don’t play it. People value their time and don’t want their time wasted because they died to perma death system.

​@@bb8c Yeah and I still dont like Perma death, why? Well I like having casual fun. Nobody actually enjoys perma death in Deepwoken, because the only thing they care about in that game is the Good Combat and Non Linear progression. Nobody genuinely likes having to be scared of losing everything whenever they face a strong boss or player.

Idea: players can have an option if they would like to play with permadeath and without but then both will have a different server

The losing loot thing makes sense, but only materials and such, Armor should not be touched as you would have to basically start from the ground up, which is not fun at all, and when RPGs do this, they usually have an incredibly toxic community, Id suggest like zones with high loot pools where you can lose items when you die, like materials and some of your gold would be stolen. So then players can avoid Higher leveled players from farming them for loot.
Perma-death should just bring you to a server where there is perma-death but you have to use an entirely new character so people dont spawn with a full set of Samurai Armor.

Also Perma-death Event would probably end up with people teaming up against other players to keep the Rare loot for themselves, and this would probably be easily loop holed by just going into a small server and being the only one who actually partakes in the event.
So Id say, if they werent doing servers Id just make it so during Perma-Death events, you are only allowed to hit other players who are also in Perma-death, and bosses would be made faster in Perma-death but have a chance to drop Exclusive Enchantments, Blueprints or Cooking Recipes.

simple way for them to do that is basically adding a bank where you can store your stuff in certain islands, but if you die with stuff you lose everything in your inventory, pretty good idea, dont see a reason why they wouldnt do that
