    Genius! This looks so much more simple than sketching the grade. I especially appreciate the pocket information. I have puzzled over this as well. I love the idea of cutting 2 sizes and copying away the unneeded parts. Again, genius! Thanks so much, Saremy!

    This is fantastic! I have been grading between sizes for years and fumbling through it and hoping for the best. This is the most thorough explanation I've ever seen and I can't wait to try it out.

    I always have to grade from a smaller waist to a larger hip. This really helps!

    Thanks Saremy, this is such a valuable video. I am getting ready to make the Upland trousers and will work through these steps when I prepare the pattern for my test pair.

    Thanks so much for this explanation, I will work through it very soon in a repeat scirocco jumpsuit for a family member. I managed to salvage the last one but had to add a wedge shaped piece of fabric to the side hip as the geometry was a bit beyond me. I feel much better prepared now!

      Oh yes the Scirocco might work great with this tutorial- just don’t forget it sews to the bodice too!

    Love this method ~ I would make a sample muslin to fine tune the hip/waist shaping .

    Thank you so much, I have no problem grading between one size, even two, but when I have to grade three sizes it gets iffy. This is the first tutorial I’ve seen that shows how to grade more than two sizes being graded and such an easy way to do it. 😘😘😘

    My question to you is I got a 14 size pant pattern and I wanna upgrade to a size 18 pant pattern how do you do that .

    • @SewSewLive
      @SewSewLive  Před rokem

      I think I’m skipping two sizes. So it should be the same or easier than what I’m attempting. Good luck!

  • @ladysexyd

    Please help me understanding what you are doing because I am not catching what you are doing are you using two different pattern for this demonstration .

    • @SewSewLive
      @SewSewLive  Před rokem

      I’m using the same pattern but in the two sizes I’m grading between. I explain at the beginning that although I know it’s a little extra work to have to print out more pattern pieces, it makes it easier in my opinion.
