Genius! This looks so much more simple than sketching the grade. I especially appreciate the pocket information. I have puzzled over this as well. I love the idea of cutting 2 sizes and copying away the unneeded parts. Again, genius! Thanks so much, Saremy!
I’m so glad it looks helpful!
This is fantastic! I have been grading between sizes for years and fumbling through it and hoping for the best. This is the most thorough explanation I've ever seen and I can't wait to try it out.
Wow that’s awesome Nancy! I’m glad this may be helpful.
Just brilliant.! This is the best pants grading tutorial I’ve come across and will be using this method for sure. Thank you so much 😊
Awesome! Good luck!
Brilliant ! Thank you for this easy to follow method to do this!
Glad it was helpful!
I always have to grade from a smaller waist to a larger hip. This really helps!
Perfect!
thank you so much! Another extremely helpful lesson from Seremy.
:) Thanks for watching!
Thankyou so much for this tutorial. I will be referring to this for my pants alterations.
Awesome! Happy fitting!
Thanks Saremy, this is such a valuable video. I am getting ready to make the Upland trousers and will work through these steps when I prepare the pattern for my test pair.
That’ll be a perfect pant pattern to try this on.
This is fantastic, I have been trying to do this! now I can confidently alter my patterns. Thank you so much 😊
That’s awesome! I’m glad it’ll be useful.
Thanks so much for this explanation, I will work through it very soon in a repeat scirocco jumpsuit for a family member. I managed to salvage the last one but had to add a wedge shaped piece of fabric to the side hip as the geometry was a bit beyond me. I feel much better prepared now!
Oh yes the Scirocco might work great with this tutorial- just don’t forget it sews to the bodice too!
Love this method ~ I would make a sample muslin to fine tune the hip/waist shaping .
I think making a muslin is a great idea! Hope yours turn out great!
Thank you for this very informative tutorial.
My pleasure!
This was super helpful! Thanks for the detailed tutorial!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching 🙂
Thank you so much! Going to save this for future reference ❤
Thanks!
Thank you so much, I have no problem grading between one size, even two, but when I have to grade three sizes it gets iffy. This is the first tutorial I’ve seen that shows how to grade more than two sizes being graded and such an easy way to do it. 😘😘😘
Wonderful! I’m really glad it’s helpful!
Great instructions! Thank you 👍
My pleasure, thanks for watching!
I have struggled with the pocket pieces in grading and now it all makes sense. Thank you, Saremy!
Nice!
I always need to grade larger waist to smaller hip. Thanks for the visuals! Helped SO MUCH!
Nice! Glad it helps!
Such a clear explanation of something which has perplexed me often. Thanks Saremy
Wonderful, Fiona!
Thanks!
Thanks for watching Polly! And thanks for the Super Thanks money! That is so kind and generous and most of all- so helpful! Cheers!
💙👍👏👏👏TFS your knowledge with us!
Absolutely!
My question to you is I got a 14 size pant pattern and I wanna upgrade to a size 18 pant pattern how do you do that .
I think I’m skipping two sizes. So it should be the same or easier than what I’m attempting. Good luck!
Please help me understanding what you are doing because I am not catching what you are doing are you using two different pattern for this demonstration .
I’m using the same pattern but in the two sizes I’m grading between. I explain at the beginning that although I know it’s a little extra work to have to print out more pattern pieces, it makes it easier in my opinion.
