- I bought a 1965 Peugeot 404 for a summer holiday in Norway with the family, supposedly the brakes has just had a major overhaul, but that was not quite the case. I did not dear take the family in the car. Now I’m back to see if I can bring the car back to the U.K. with JV.
We did some brake work before leaving hoping for the best. We had an emergency repair in Germany, but got to a proper 404 guru in Holland Garage Helweg: hendrikhelweg?i...
Very nice video. I like old Peugeot.s and those trips in old Cars
If I could do double or triple thumbs up I would 👍👍👍well done guys
Bonjour. Tres interessante! De tout facon votre Peugeot est magnifique!)
Excellent video of a great adventure. Will pass this on to a friend who has a 404. Cheers from Tasmania Australia.
I bought a 1969 Peugeot 404 (had the 13" front discs) - and I had seat belts. Did 220,000 kms - hard driving at very fast speeds (for that time) Top speed was 94 MPH and you could sit on 85MPH all day every day. I drove the car hard and fast. Never spent a penny on it except for regular servicing from a Peugeot/Renault specialist mechanic (an absolute must) Brilliant car for that time period. Comfortable - excellent handling - reliable - comfortable. A fun car to drive.
Diesel or petrol
11 mins in and I have to say I think you and James have a double act Mitka 😂 very engaging also you lost at least 5 years along with the ‘tache. God bless mate 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it👍 if I ever get a Ferrari the ‘tache will return!
Almost bought a 404 in Melbourne in 1978, but it had an engine knock and settled for a Cortina Mk2. Regretted not getting the Peugeot and fixing the engine. The Ford ran well but was not as comfortable.
Uncomfortable running car better than comfortable soon to be non-running car😅
@Mitkawatch they are probably the most reliable cars ever made, I drove one with a knock daily for 8 months and still didn't die
Nice work guys, all the way from western Canada. I have a 1965 404 Saloon I am currently restoring. Anyone able to ship me a windscreen? 😂 hard to find parts in Canada
There is a company in Norway that has them! Very good price, but the shipping would probably be the biggest issue and cost…? www.husebyautodeler.no/products/autoparts/peugeot-404-frontrute-383c
