This is the limit of the engine (graphics engine). The model of the wood floor is 3d - but the surface (hitbox that interacts with the car) is flat - and to date there is no proper physics interaction, just textures and settings.

All this graphical fidelity is useless in my opinion, not a single time in my life have I ever revered a game because of how good it looks.
It has only ever been a matter of how good the gameplay is, or the story.
