Sheer Genius. I love how Ben keeps reinventing his songs, they stay fresh and alive and I can never predict what he'll come up with next. Also he challenges my musical tastes and always wins me over even if I don't like his new music at first, I end up loving it. Everything is in my top 5 Ben songs, it's so profound and this version transports me to higher realms. Conrad amazing too.
Thanks for posting this video! I was also at the gig and thought this was the best part. The way he blended the two songs together was superb. Not sure about you, but I was a little surprised by the abrupt end to the encore. Cheers again.
You Tube I was there and was taken back by it. The sound guy started walking towards him with another guitar but he just called it off 🤷♂️ Didn’t let it ruin the night though it was amazing.
I was there too. I think he gets annoyed when people start trying to coax keep your head up etc out of him. When he returned the crowd was singing it and he said something along the lines of ' come on then if were going to do it' for an actual second I thought he was going to play it. But when I got back to the hotel I played the statement over in my head and figured it was a bit of an FU. He is by far an aware the most talented musician I have witnessed.
