  • This is a brief experiment to determine the difference between having the panels face the seasonal orientation (low winter angle) vs facing the clouds on an overcast cloudy day. There was a near 50% increase in power production from facing the panels towards the clouds on a overcast day with no sun.

Collecting from the reflection of the clouds, I want to see a giant mirror experiment!

I do want to make a solar oven, which is a giant mirror and a hot space. I was thinking of an old satellite dish or something that I make that is foldable.

In my experience rain clouds are about as thick as snow clouds. The panels work in the rain but about as well as thick overcast day. The depth of the clouds really has an impact of the light that gets through. Thanks for your comments.
