My neighbor, husband & wife, knowing how much I enjoyed great artists & performers kept talking about you. They had lived in Vegas & had seen you perform multiple multiple times & even now. I thought I had seen & met every hot performer of that era , Dean Martin, Kenny, Rogers, Frank, Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Julio, Iglesias, Tom Jones, Bee Gees, Elton John, Michael, Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Al Green, and, of course, Elvis Presley, Johnny Mathis, Stevie Wonder, Rolling Stones etc. Last weekend I was at their house & Peter was talking once again about Engelbert & said when I go home, pull one-of his albums & listen & then tell me what you think. Well, what I pulled up was your performance of “Welcome to My World” from 1982 Las Vegas & I will tell you , it totally blew me away, & I really mean blew me away. I have never heard or seen someone with such a voice & such a performance & so handsome & so sexy !!! you’ve got it all ENGELBERT, I was in shock. Your personality is over the top & your mannerisms. I can’t even begin to tell you how fantastic you are & that’s just the beginning & your white jumpsuit perfection . I never saw someone so handsome, so sexy, so perfect so talented. How I let that slip through all these years I don’t know I had to really feel sorry for myself for missing out. But I have listen to many many many of your songs & albums over the last week 😊😢in total enjoyment. And love “welcome to my world “ Vegas 1982. The most incredible album I think I’ve ever heard & seen. Well, thank you for sharing & continue your music also I feel sorry that I missed out during the 1980s. Years ago I heard that his manager changed his name from Jerry Dorsey to Englebert Humperdinck & his luck changed. I'm glad it did, he is a great singer, a very handsome man & I've seen him through the years. At 76 I still thoroughly enjoy the sound of his powerful, beautiful voice. I hope he enjoys his retirement in England.
My Dad's favorite song to all his newborn grandchildren. I Love that Dad got a chance to hear this Master of song Engelbert perform it too. It brings back wonderful memories.
