- At the 2010 International Carnivorous Plant Society conference, Stewart McPherson presented a short presentation concerning the diversity of Nepenthes species known from the Philippines at that time.
Love his narration, I could literally sit there for hours and listen to him talking about these fascinating plants.
Great video, thanks for sharing :)
When the Nepenthes Mcphersonii will be named!?
He's not alone in this field, but this humble guy did more than anyone I know to make the world aware of those nature's wonder and how fragile they are right now in nature. Amazing work!
really passionate looking forward to seeing you your next discovery
Come back to us, my King!
I live in the Philippines, specifically Panay island. I wish I can see a live Nepenthes one day.
Great videos, great thoughts!
I hope you could explore the Visayan islands. Two islands I visited in Panay have Nepenthes and they are at the opposite sides of mainland Panay, they could be new species.
Ah, classic cutting edge university HD A/V systems!
great video
Had you even been to Mt. Mayon Volcano in Albay Bicol Region? There are lots of Nepenthes there, waiting to be discovered.....
I've known some in the 90s who propagate nepenthes in Albay, probably poached from Mayon Volcano and other mountains in Albay. Mt. Isarog in Camarines Sur could also possess species of Nepenthes.
@@ProximaCentauri88 haha, where else will it be coming from if not poached???
@@ProximaCentauri88 and how this non nepenthes countries acquired nepenthes if not by poaching? Expedition maybe........?
Philippines, the Biblical Land Gold......
Ophir
Sorry but that is fiction propagated by American Protestant missionaries and younger supporters of Ferdinand Marcos.
@@ProximaCentauri88 fiction???? And how will you validate your verdict???
