My knee was swollen and really painful. I went to my chiropractor to see if he could do the physical test to see if my PCL was torn(I didnt know via MRI it was torn at this point) he pushed on my tibia to do the test and I got a throbbing searing pain in my knee. He suggested this laser and started using it, within 5 seconds of using it the searing pain was completely gone. I couldn’t believe it!

So, laser is able to produce Reactive Oxygen Species? These are markers of inflammation. So, laser upregulates these species? How is that a good thing?

Whats is the difference between this laser vs cold laser vs led light and why. For pain healing a cosmetic apolications

I got a Epidural to help me, this was about 14 weeks post surgery and made my life so much better. The laser therapy helped me out allot but was a temporary fix a few days, I suspect so will the Epidural my post surgery MRI said I had inflammation around the surgery site I hope this helps. I did take Celebrex a few weeks before my Epidural to help with inflation with little to no success. So it's looking like I'll need therapy and time to heal from my laminectomy. Good luck

This presentation is quite old but that is no excuse for not telling the truth. The penetration of a 3B laser at 810 nm is quite superior to any of 970-980 nm. Even at equal wavelength, a very strong laser ("Class IV) produces much heat and cannot be kept in firm tissue contact. This causes a lot of relection and loss of power. Strong lasers have a place in PBM but only within their limitations.

Cheap laser pens do not do anything beneficial...It is all in your mind. Only a true pulsed laser will work and they are not cheap.

Hi , You can combine certain things for symptoms relief. hot pack, gentle stretching of neck muscles and laser. Best if done once you wake up in the morning and before going to bed at night. Good luck

Nice animation and explanation on how IR photo-energy can facilitate soft tissue healing.... until making the comparison of Class 4 and Class 3B laser. Comparisons between Class 4 and Class 3B laser for promoting so-called "Therapeutic Class 4 laser" are misleading.
Laser energy beyond 500mW will be classified as Class 4 because the higher energy may induce thermal reaction in soft tissue and leading to potential risk of tissue burn. One may argue the boundary at 500mW to differentiate Class 3B and Class 4 is too conservative but this is the present Laser Classification & Regulation. Those who try to market Class 4 Therapeutic Laser should try to push on review on the Classification.
Manufacturers of Class 4 Therapeutic Laser would never succeed in changing the laser classification because they cannot change the physics that high photo-energy above 500mW may cause burn risk. Otherwise, these manufacturers would not use diffusers or spacing device in front of the laser diode of their devices to bring the output energy down before the energy hits and enters human skin.
These Class 4 Therapeutic Laser devices although emit energy at Class 4 level, the energy is brought down below Class 4 before the energy reaches human skin. In other word, those practitioners who use Class 4 Therapeutic Laser Equipments, are actually using Class 3B energy to treat their patients.

I am placing one up for sale tonight; however mine has the animal software since this is used for their rehabilitation also. The veterinary machine is the same as the human one except sells for less. I paid about $21000.00 for mine and have only had it a 1.5 years. I sold my practice and am selling it for $12K. If you are interested, e-mail me at creatureluvr@yahoo.com or you can also go to eBay to see more for sale.

Your condition is more likely Tendonosis and NOT Tendonitis. Healing will take longer along with correct exercises.
