Vardenafil common brand name Levitra, is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It is a phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitor which relaxes blood vessels in the penis so blood can flow into the area for erection. Vardenafil will not work if you are not sexually aroused and it will not increase your sex drive. Sexual desire comes more from the brain
Before taking vardenafil, Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to anything, if you have any other medical conditions or are on any other medications. Because sexual activity may place a strain on your heart, your doctor will need to check whether you are fit enough for that activity
HOW TO TAKE Vardenafil?
First of all, it is important to follow all directions from your doctor and pharmacist carefully because it may be different from the leaflet. It may change according to your conditions and the type of other medications you are taking at the same time. But in general, Swallow the tablet whole with water. whole means whole, do not cut, break, crush or chew it. It can be taken with or without food. Remember to Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice while on Vardenafil
Do not take Vardenafil if you have, or have within the previous 6 months: • a heart attack • stroke • cardiac ischaemia or serious irregular heart beat
Do not take Vardenafil, if you have
• unstable angina where the symptom is chest pain• low blood pressure • uncontrolled high blood pressure • uncontrolled irregular heart beat • ever had a loss of vision due to damage to the optic nerve from insufficient blood supply, more in video ...

Vardenafil can interact with many other medications, such as ketoconazole and itraconazole that is used to treat fungal infections • erythromycin, clarithromycin which are antibiotics commonly prescribed, more in video ...
Side Effects: All medicines, even natural herbal medicines come with side effects. Some side effects are severe and need medical attention immediately but most of these severe side effects are usually rare. Most side effects are mild and short lived. When a doctor chooses to prescribe you a medicine, he or she would have weighed out that the benefit exceeds the risk. Do not be alarmed by this list of possible side effects. You may not even experience any of them.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible if you do not feel well while you are taking Levitra.
Some common side effects of Vardenafil which are usually mild and short-lived are • headache • dizziness or light-headedness • flushing • a stuffy or runny nose • dyspepsia (heartburn) • nausea.
Rare but severe side effect are priapism where your erection may persist for longer than usual. Use an icepack to cool it down if this happens. If your erection continues for longer than four hours, or if you have a painful erection, go to the emergency of the hospital immediately.
There are men who took vardenafil and report of a sudden decrease or loss of vision or Sudden decrease in hearing or loss of hearing. These cases are rare. If this happens, Stop vardenafil and go to the emergency immediately.
Other conditions where you need to send yourself to the emergency or call an ambulance are
if you have any tightness or pain in the chest, neck, back or arms, as well as fatigue, lightheadedness, abnormal heartbeat and anxiety. These may be a symptom of a heart attack • loss of consciousness • an anaphylactic allergic reactions such as rash, wheezing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing.

I'm a 6'3" - 170lb - 28 year old man in good athletic shape. But I wonder if being big and with more "real estate" (circulatory system) that my heart has to pump all my blood through to have it circulate well, should I feel light headed when taking this medication? I've been on it for about 3 weeks and i am taking the lowest dose as directed. but there are 2 problems.
- its not uncommon for me to have an erection start without any sexual stimulation. basically random woodies, when I shouldnt/dont need it. I'm beginning to be bothered by them so I've been "taking care of them" to make them go away but the past week or so.. even achieving the so called "finish line" has been able to make it return to a normal flacid state. My doctor said if i keep taking the medication, I will adjust and get used to it so that this doesnt happen.. but after 3 weeks it seems to be more common. like I said, I dont feel as though i will black out but im finding myself getting light headed when this happens and I wonder if im sensitive to the medication. My doctor says not to be concerned but he also hasnt seen my "ding dong".. I've been blessed/cursed with one that is embarrassingly big when fully erected. I havent ever measured it but I know its too big bc the reactions i get when I'm intimate with women. some of them are too intimidated and dont want to see me anymore & some of them i liked very much.
anyway, I have often have trouble getting up without help from medication. ive tried cialis and viagra but they didnt work.... and i was happy to find this helps in that regards. but I dont know what to do now since my doctor tells me its not a problem and to keep taking it. I worry if i continue something bad will happen, but if i stop, that will mean i will struggle with ed again. and i want to get reduction surgery down there but theres no way i can afford it without insurence help. none will help pay for it.

Hi Costco, although these medication say it will not work without stimulation, but the reality, some men do report experiencing erection without stimulation like yourself. I would suggest you see another doctor for a second opinion if you are concern. Usually big size is not a problem. Many men and women would love that. It maybe because your partner experience pain during penetration. It maybe due to dryness or not enough stimulation. Some women has condition where their vagina goes into spasm and if so very painful for them to have intercourse. Anyhow, talk to another doctor about your concern. They would need to see a doctor to get treatment. A baby could pass through a vagina yea. I am glad you found something that worked for you.

Hi Tsokolata, don’t take it unless you have a problem and the doctor prescribe it to you. You are putting yourself into unnecessary risk. There are unwanted side effects. You should be fine after all the medication is out of your system. Shouldn’t have long term side effects. Because to give you a definite answer to this, more vigorous studies needs to be done. So, no one really knows yea. But I wouldn’t stress about it. Just don’t do it again for fun.

Hi Muhammed, it really depend on your kidney and liver function. Unless you go back to verify with your doctor, it’s best to stick to 24 hours.

Hello Akter, you do need to talk to your doctor I am afraid. Because he would need to increase your dose. Do you have kidney problems? Because 10mg is usually for people with kidney problems. I have a similar situation but a bit different. I occasionally take cialis and it works fine except that I continue for close to an hour before ejaculation and sometimes cannot ejaculate and eventually soften. It is sometimes exhausting to my partner, even though I’m fine. Wondering if switching to levitate could resolve this issue. I am athletic , do not suffer from any disease.
