That's the giveaway right there, Puff pulling his seat back and then grabbing his head putting it down as them shots rang out, I'd accuse Puff of setting up the hit personally cause he went on to be a major factor in the music industry
Gene he wasn't trying to make your legs hurt or nothing, he was ducking dow because he knew the shots were about to start flying and he didn't want to get hit. Puffy's actions in the days leading up to the incident are real suspect if Gene is telling the truth. I don't see any reason he would want to make all this up really. People would be interested in whatever he had to say about those days, people just want to understand why it went down like that. Feels like Gene just wanted to do his job the best he could and he feels like he failed because that brilliant young man died. Hope Gene can get some closure or some peace or something after all this time.

Gene knows the event does not make sense, and has every right to feel this way. The way Gene sounds, I'm lead to believe he was put in a situation where he could not provide protection the way he wanted to. Sounds like he experience a lot of roadblocks and detours during his time with his employer.
