I finally found this mix on vinyl after almost 40 years, i had it on tape but the vinyl version was very difficult to find because this was one of the most populair mixes ever made, i found mine in Canada, and i live in the Netherlands 😮. Was a long time for me to wait when he was arrived, gosh i was so happy when i got it, and the seller did as a surprise a other Disconet remix for free with it ❤.
Wow and this is taking me back, but I started clubbing 83-84 and used to hear how great it was in the clubs before 83. But I still caught some of the big clubs that were still playing disco. What I miss it the sound systems and the music you could feel it.

I recorded on tape this mix in 1982 or before when i was 13, i played it at many many parties as 'DJ', then i lost it in 1989, until finally after extreme research i found it again. Thanks so much !!! pffffffff finally found it after 34 years looking for it (i did not knew any name/title). I heard it on The SoulShow in The Netherlands in 1982.
I did it to hear it on the Soulshow 😊, and taped it, i have bought all the DMC mixes from Ferry Maat himself on vinyl, but he also had Disconetmixes and also of course this one, but he already has sold the Disconetmixes😢. But i found mine in Canada. I had to get the records by his friend in the Netherlands Wouter van der Goes, yes the radio dj, because Ferry lives in Bonaire, and i saw the studio from Wouter because he also has a studio for his progam at home❤.
Back then, if you bought a disc net, it made djing a little easier It was meant only for dj’s, but if you were a serious record collector, you found ways to buy it or buy them used.

La différence avec les montages Disconet des montages des DJ de CKMF, c'est que les Disconet présentent leur musique sur des longueurs musicales au lieu d'être des extraits pour chaque chanson incluse, donc le passage de chaque chanson est plus long sur Disconet, mais ils sont tout de même très bon à entendre. Tantôt, j'étais sur ta Playlist CKMF, et je rajoutait d'autres anciens Super Mixs du poste radio à ma grosse Playlist populaire. C'est que au début, je ne prenait que ceux que j'avais connu pour ma Playlist. p.s. Je t'envois à l'instant un petit email sur une recherche.

A chaque fin d'année ils envoyaient un sondage à chaque abonné afin de connaître leurs meilleurs chansons de la précédente année. Avec ce résultat, ils créaient leur montage Top Tunes
Was gonna say '82, but 1981 was truly the last great year for Disco. Wish it lasted longer like Hip Hop 1977- 1993 😢. You don't extend a genre and expect it to be the same. Today's Hip Hop is absolute garbage and has been for the past 30+ years 😮.
I’m seeing a come back with disco with the younger generation tyat wants to know discos history and want to keep it going. The ppl. that grew up on house are now realizing that house was somewhat a continuation of disco and in the same dance music family.

That is a wonderful Disconet medley record. It really captures some of the best club tracks of 1980 - 1981.
