I think they embraced Rosie as part of their family and therefore Rosie felt free to be who she is around the kids and in the family without any belittling and she poured her heart and soul into that whole family. Mom and dad did not worry about anything whenever they were not around because they knew Rosie was there as if mom was there herself.
