Been a fan since Runaway, grabbed everything they put out wore it out, got it again.. but " the day, the music... died" was when Jon and Richie parted ways.. PhilX can play awesome, but it was Jon and Richie writing, living and playing that made it so compelling to me. saw them 2 times, would have loved to seen them more, but not without Richie now.
Wrong he’s is just as good without Richie I have seen them with him and with out him many times . He they are a great band and performers . Richie left without any notices he left them hanging . I know he was going thru personal stuff . It is what is it is. They are and will always be the best ❤️
@@msummaria 1st, I was not saying anything against the band, they are great and one of my favorites. but my comment is my opinion of a noticeable loss and from Jon's own mouth to Howard stern recently "Bon Jovi detailed his own sadness over Sambora's exit in the docuseries, noting that he still feels a "void" on stage without him. “The true magic of our live performance was when we sang together… that was our unique spot,” he said. “It was as identifiable as any great combination that made one and one three. And I don’t think that’s been replaced, no.”" IF Jon feels that way, or ever did.. it was noticeable to others also.

It's an old documentary for this life long fan, but still fun to watch. The part I enjoyed most was at 19:31... the discovery of John's "tramp stamp tattoo" when the band was bowing to the audience!!!

Unfortunately, they never knew when enough was enough.
Jon sang his heart out with New Jersey and Blaze of Glory - the performance on the albums is incredible (unfortunately that doesn't come out in the documentary!!!).
Accordingly, it hurts me a lot when I HEAR these pensioner performances these days. It would have been so enough!

Bon Jovi just isn't the same...i absolutely use to love this guy in the 80s there was nothing like a Bon Jovi fix. He was then the best. Now not so much dont like him at all....can not sing just like all the rest of the old rock stars. He very much is conceded. Just dont have it no more.

This is a great video and really enjoyable. Is the voiceover AI btw?
It would have been way richer had they synchronized text and images in the doc. Also, it’s not easy to defend this doc regarding the way it approaches Sambora’s departure. One might say it’s shallow and inconsequential.
Sambora has left the band in 2013 but this doc shows him speaking as part of the band in 2017. What a joke.
As a whole is a reasonable college report, though.
