- I was never going to make this imported betta unboxing footage into a video - until now! I was really sick recently and then I lost my voice - ugh! It is nearly back now but I decided to take some older footage to make a video with instead of possible straining what little voice I have now.

@@SimplyBetta if you start breeding fish again you should do halfmoon king bettas. They are very cool and beautiful. I have one and he is very fun to watch. I think it would be even more fun to breed them😊😀

Those are just some tough fish. Can survive in little cups and can survive a trip like they had.

I am really enjoying your videos! I am waiting for a delivery tomorrow of a XXL giant betta the breeder told me it’s the biggest betta she has ever seen being in the hobby for so many years! He is a beautiful blue/white marble giant who keeps changing colours ! I mean totally different than the fish I saw on her website some time ago! I just bought my first betta a week ago, i love him. I cant seem to find these types of beauties here in sweden though, but im getting one more betta soon, maybe i have too look for breeders, but i dont know where to start.
There is an International Betta Congress Facebook page, I would go there and post that you’re looking for a breeder in Sweden !

I love your videos. My first Betta was a rescue who was in a house, no aquarium heater and no house heater. It blew up. He was in the cold for almost a week. I would never recommend letting them go that long. But they can survive. He lived over 6 years with me and one with my Godson. Also, I yruly dislike the color yellow, but that second fish you pulled out of the box could live with me, any day. Wow.
That betta sounds like a champ! Dull yellows aren’t very impressive but a deep yellow is so lovely :)
+Simply Betta-That he was! He was quite happy when he warmed up at my house. LoL He would have made a great daddy, huge bubble nests daily. He'd rub up against my finger when I stuck it in the aquarium. He was just a blue and red veil tail my boss' daughter won at a carnival. I was blessed to have had him.

+Sereniti Williams- Once I got him home he was kept in 76F-78F. The young man who took him before I moved was an avid fishkeeper and told me what to do when I first rescued Master Betta Max. He told me to use a heater at those temps. And I did what he told me to. In the cold water his fins were clamped and he would not eat. He was basically dying.

I’ve had that crud, too. Takes forever to get over! Love your channel and have learned much from you. When I finally relocate and set up my own tanks again (haven’t had any in close to 30 years-Yes, I’m old) I’ll be back up to speed in knowledge!

I love Yellow, Red and Opaque Bettas. I used to get really good ones through the IBC (International Betta Congress) auction and some through Mark Ibarra (Hawaiian breeder, back then). I now get some through local stores, here in New York, and some foreign breeders through Aquabid.

Same with someone who said down below your videos turned me back onto bettas. 🤗 Got my first one (in like 5 years) just a couple of days ago. He's a double tail half moon named Darwin 💖 Now considering importing and breeding and getting into maybe attending some competitions. We'll see 😊

Beautiful fish glad they survived.
I wonder if it would be better to have the heat pack in the bottom of the box, under a layer of news paper? The heat pack was still warm and hot air rises.
That red HM looks like a Sawarut fish. I would be surprised if he wasn't. The form and finnage, especially that dorsal just screams Sawarut to me, lol.

Beautiful fish! You are so lucky to have breeders/sellers ship to your area. Nobody ships to Canada because of crazy shipping/importing regulations. I miss out on some really stunning fish on aquabid, etc. Anyways, that's a rant for another time. I look forward to your breeding vids when you get these guys paired up. Thanks for posting!

I recently got a new betta from a local fish store and he has really bad fin rot I think from over flaring since there was no sight blockers to the betta next to him. Luckily I had all the things to help with that and is currently being treated, wish him luck please.
PS. This is my second betta my first is a blue and green half moon with some iridescent white on his tail which I researched for over 4 months before I got a betta so I'd be confident on what I was doing to care for them

Wish I could find a source to get some of these beauties for my collection. In my area we have PetSmart and Pet Value and they only carry the main strains of bettas and not always great quality of betta cheers .thanks for the video
I import a lot of fish too, and I've had fish delayed aswell. And I'm always sad when they arrive cold or dead.

Don't stress it at all. I had to have emergency surgery 2 weeks ago yesterday (I perforated an intestine for the 2nd time, 2 days short of 7 years from the first time). Spent 8 days pretty out of it in the hospital, etc. I did name the baby you have growing out for me in a haze of the *good* drugs. So hopefully little Versace is growing well. :) Glad you're getting better. I always make people laugh when I refer to my youngest 3 as my disease buckets.. but they ARE. Just wait until school time. o.O.. The 1st missed so many school days the first month or two of Kindergarden we deliberately put the 2nd child in daycare a few days a week when he was 3-4 so he could get the colds, etc. before it started counting against him school-wise.
I'm going to start my own channel of bettas!

About a week, and there is no food. Bettas are fine without food for a week

Where you order ? The water in us have a blue color but first fish has yellow water
I know this is an old question but I thought I would try to answer. Some sellers and transhippers use various medications and treatments when shipping fish. The yellow water is from one of those.
