Yeah, but once you learn those 3 chords, all your songs sound like everything on the top of the charts. I need at least a 4th chord. I was hoping to see C-flat-ozone-3.
Great clip from probably the most slept on show of all time. I never would've thought Matt and Rich go so well together. Like salt and vinegar crisps and orange juice, they complement each other ridiculously well.
i've loved this for years; but i've always wondered... that finger, that huge finger. How on earth did they get it to look so unbelievably real? It's genuinely better than a lot of awful movie prosthetics these days.
I tried to teach a mate a few basic chords last week, and they all sounded like GmajNeutral0 !!! Now it all makes sense! He's obviously got talent that i didn't know about! SNUFF BOX IS ULTIMATE GENIUS!
Wow....you know I never heard that till I read your comment now and listened to the clip again. Amazing. So much for the hi fidelity of my DVD player.... Praise be!!
Damn I have not heard of Snuff Box ... and there right in front of me is Dr Lucien Sanchez!!!!! This is brilliant! Thank you for uploading and thanks to whatever it was that had a link on it to here ... that ... I clicked ... and ... yeah .... (praise be) ...
As a kid learning to play guitar for the first time, in the early eighties, this is actually how guitar lessons looked and sounded-incomprehensible!
I feel like a lot of guitar teaching media is like that, just really incoherent for some reason.
When did you learn to play guitar for the second time?
@@sstills951 When I learned to play the bass
@@tintomara6209 Touche.
@@sstills951 I'm not just being glib either, it's true!
"Without the guitar there would be no pop music, dancing or magazines"
Seriously, this is pure genius.
It makes me cry laughing just thinking about it and I haven't even seen it in like a decade. I don't know why it's so funny it just IS
Nah. He's wrong. It's the keyboards and drums that make pop music. Guitars get too much spotlight, especially the electric one.
@@neonfroot My brother in Christ, it is a joke. The entire video is a joke
@@blahblahblahblah2837 The flute has shaped modern cinema irrevocably.....

This was the skit where I knew this show was made just for me.
First thing I found of this show and immediately knew I had to watch the rest
Horse piss confirmed it for me.
that unsettling finger
Love how the kid mutters "Fuck yeah" when he first opens the DVD case
the new mars volta is pretty sweet
Most underrated comment 6 years and running.
Cadger Philosophic Upvote
Sir how dare you. I am offended by something so unerringly accurate.
Speaking of. They released some unfinished recordings this year from de-loused in the comatorium it's called landscape tantrums
@@curedtheaddict1461 a good sign they'll be back I say
I unironically kinda loved those weird guitar noises he was making, it was like the beginning to a Primus song
I'm trying to figure out if he covered an actual song
Primus is so bizarre, they're not even from any of the galaxies in the vicinity of our own. Same with Gwar. And Ed Sheeran.
I was about to say it sounded like something from godweensatan
I thought it was enders toi by tame impala the first time I saw it lol
This guy has the coolest voice.
it's the same bloke who does the moneysupermarket "get money calm" advert
What about Fantastic Dan?
Yo, watch "the It Crowd" on Netflix...you won't be disappointed.
Watch “what we do in the shadows” from fx on Hulu
and don't forget "Toast of London"
1:17 - The 'G Major Neutral Zero' chord is my favourite.
If you keep pressing your timestamp, you can start to hear a song coming together
0:36 random cut to him frowning at the ground amidst the laughter!
This video started out pretty funny, but the giant finger and the rest of the creepy shit scared the shit out of me.
lol. yeah
Amin Chowdhury You show no signs of intelligent life.
Ibrahim Musa that was the punchline
read your comment as I was watching that part. some trippy shit
I find it hard to believe this video scared anybody
I'd just like to say thank you, I'm learning the guitar and I found this really helpful.
I just love that little kid's enthousiasm
Fouck yeah
This must be how the Residents learned guitar
Definitely
No wonder they called the album Fingerprince, they were referencing this instructional video.
NIce to hear them mentioned! But they did use Snakefinger who I think could play...
@@chriswadley819 snakefinger, a master of his craft. His solo on moisture cannot be replicated.
As I lie in bed heavily hungover, this video freaks me out. But still pissing my knickers laughing at the same time.
Just for this, I played Layla on the pipe organ setting.
IT WAS AMAZING
Vid?
Yeah I CAN imagine Layla on an organ
You are an affront to Matt Berry and his giant fingers will visit you soon to determine your fate.
It's from Snuff Box. It's a hilarious show. Matt Berry is gold.
It's "Heaven help us. Praise be. Praise be."
+Alex Ewing Braised beef*
thank you

He's self taaaaught!
The staring at the ground is so clever and so funny that this deserves to be in a comedy hall of fame.
One of the best damn things I’ve seen in my life.
I've come here from 13 years in the future to tell you "well done, lads!"
Why??
Hello
Could you imagine Eric Clapton's Layla played on the organ? HAHAHAHAHAHA. No, neither could I. :-D Funniest line of the clip!!
I learned the guitar with this video !!!!!!!!!!!
I learned the Math with this video!
LMAO "HEAVEN HELP US. PRAISE BE! PRAISE BE!"
I like how you can see the kid at the end starting to try and place his fingers in the right place.
"Help us, praise be" you're right
the song at the end sounds like the cure
Now that you mention it, it does remind me of "M" off Seventeen Seconds
haha I felt like this kid too when I put in the video that came with my guitar kit.
most accurate depiction of every instrument tute video ever
Anyone have a tab for this?
Sorry, I only drink Fresca.

There's no prosthetic, Matt Berry just naturally has deformed hands which they mask for most sketches. They just seem to have forgotten here.
That's his real finger. They CGI it out in his other major picture roles.
Genius! absolute solid gold new wave dark evil, genius!
Praise snuff box!
It's been years since I first saw this but only now realized the song sounds A LOT like "Omlette From Outerspace" by Adam & the Ants! Brilliant.
This is a literal fever dream
I tried to teach a mate a few basic chords last week, and they all sounded like
GmajNeutral0 !!! Now it all makes sense!
He's obviously got talent that i didn't know about! SNUFF BOX IS ULTIMATE GENIUS!
This is like the British cousin of a Kids in the Hall sketch, and I love it.
So in other words, this is an Allan Holdsworth Instructional. Got it.
At least most of us have the same expression of bewilderment as the wee laddie whilst sat watching that Holdsworth scales video 😄
That goddamn hand always gets me.
I learned everything I know about guitar from this video
One of my favourite sketches of any show of all time. I used a lot of it as a sample in a past grindccore band recording! 🙂
"That's the mother Rick!"
C major neutral: Heaven help us! Praise be! Praise be!
The mismatched arm and mutant finger are genius. What a show, what a man
No one notices his brown arm.
I sure didn't until you pointed it out
We dont see race because no one cares anymore.
@clutch2827 Fuck you
You thinks weird he’s using a 12 string guitar for a 6 string tutorial video.
I think its just the lighting amd his thick arm hair
Wow....you know I never heard that till I read your comment now and listened to the clip again. Amazing. So much for the hi fidelity of my DVD player.... Praise be!!
The G major neutral had me in stitches!
Every guitar tutorial on the internet
Perfect finger for steel string slide.
Excellent stuff! Wish they would do a second series though...
That prosthetic finger is amazing!
This is wonderful.
This is just f-ing fantastic.
i loved this show, its purely insane
His fingers are also CRAFTILY ADAPTED
leopheard Or cradapted
He was up all night playing the keyboard 'til two!
Insanely brilliant, brilliantly insane.
G major neutral zero helped me out in my music career

ive never even heard of this show, but afer watching this clip, damn im buying the dvd's.
This song kicks raw ass
+0mink0 Pure, unadulterated, raw ass.
+0mink0 Baby Cookie!
As a guitar teacher, those are the correct chords.
Wow this song kicks raw ass!
Yup, that's how I feel learning a song
I'm adding this to my Halloween playlist.
he thought to get his other arm tanned! haha! hilarious, can't wait for the dvd
Makes me want to learn how to play guitar all over again hahaha
For anyone wondering the actual chords were Em - Gm - Dbmaj7
I think you mean E Minor Natural Neutral Zero, G minor Neutral Zero, and D Flat Major 7.
Berry and Fulcher are the UK analog for Tim and Eric
Cool it Sanchez!
this is how I feel watching beat tutorials
It truly is as easy as that!
that is brilliant
How soon we forget Arrested Development. It was only the best show of the past decade.
I hope the glaring middle finger chord was intentional.
yea, berry is a legend.
For a video uploaded 17 years ago, it sure looks good in terms of picture quality.
@DieByTheDrop thanks a lot for explanation of this finger thing, i didn't understand until now. :)
Wall Street Journal: "Matt Berry's Flirtatious History with Black-Arm"
"Heaven help us! Praise be. Praise be."

lol that was awsome.
i remember first time i started learning guitar
i was like wtf how the hell can he reach that string!
the g major neutral zero is my favorite chord to play

the ringfinger gave me nightmares
crazy stuff this, very strange but fun series
This sounds like every Ween song played at once.
i've finally figured out who matt berry reminds me of. Jareth the Goblin King.
Me too! It's like a wood block or something.
This caught me off guard the first time I saw this episode.
