"Thank you Superman!" Love Julie :)
Thanked by superwoman hehe
Oh Christopher Reeve. Sooooo handsome. Who was to know he'd meet such a sad ending. Rest in Peace, Superman...
Was this the BAFTA-award wining of which she said in the Graham Norton Show she was drunk?
Yes!!!!
Sam 0091. hahahaha can't tell indeed :P she's so sweet!
griekgek During Micheal Caine's BAFTA speech for 'Best Actor' she started shouting from the audiance, and Mike got a bit annoyed!!! LMAO!
Sam 0091 haha brilliant
Legit the only reason I am watching this video, knowing that she was super pissed on the night. Haha lol
An honest reaction. She really didn't think she'd win! Love Julie she's gone from strength to strength
She was actually drunk.
So she was obviously flabbergasted and didn't know what to say.
She absolutely deserved that award. Michael Caine should have won an Oscar too. Educating Rita is a special, special film.
Wow, the fact that she beat both Jessica Lange and Meryl Streep for arguably their best works is impressive!
she's such a dork I love her
She was actually drunk off her rocker, she didnt expect to win hence why
Molly weasley meets superman XD
Also I find it hard to believe the Julie was only 34 when she got this award, she looks like she’s in her 20’s
Christopher Reeve looking every bit the gentleman. Rest in peace.
she was and still is a beautifull woman.
the right award for such a moving, and inspirational movie. Well written, acted and filmed. Just one of the gems that hold up over time.
Absolutely plastered. 🥂🍻
So?
It's really not that bad. A genuine reaction.
Completely off her face, love it!!
Christopher Reeve looking top notch
Always a huge fan of Julie and this movie. Watched the filming of many scenes in Trinity College in Dublin in the summer of 1982. For the record the film won three BAFTAS that year - actor, actress and best film.
I love Julie Walters always and forever
pissed as a fart
Julie Walters is spectacular, Educating Rita, Personal Services, two of my very favourites, her hair is so pretty, she has a sweet, down to earth nature, lovely woman, great actress 👍👍👍👍👍
Just love this and Julia Walters really hasn't changed - brilliant
Mrs Weasley looks very young here, she was a good looking woman back in the day.
Just her usual self, sweet and simple! So refreshing!
So well deserved - will forever be my favourite film
Julie doesn't disappoint
Well deserved win. Vale Christopher Reeve.
I JUST realized she played Mrs. Weasley in the Harry Potter movies.
Oh...
Looking for this after watching Julie in Graham Norton show
Always fabulous 💜

Great actress!
Apsulutely love julie waters brilliant actor
RIP, Superman
sloshed haha love her.
She deserved the Oscar
Should have won the Oscar for Educating Rita.
?
She explained that they'd all been given a complimentary meal before the awards where they just kept topping up her wine and she was so nervous anyway that by the time she went up she was totally sh*tfaced.
Christopher❤️❤️❤️❤️.
Who knew she would later be better known as "Ron's mum"?
I was just watching Julie talking about on Graham Norton’s show. I hear she got really drunk beforehand 🤣🤣🤣
I can’t believe young Julie Walters existed...
She did and she was gorgeous
Tombstone Harry Studios Wasn’t and isn’t she just
Way to go Mrs.Weasley!
She looks hot.
She was a little stunner wasn’t she...not that she isn’t still cute now
Cue the Bill Burr advice. Except Ms Walters is just too darn cute here.
How could she beat Meryl? Sophie's choice is phenomenal
My lord, Christopher was handsome
druuuuuuuuuuunk in love
Phyllis Logan didn't look too happy.
Hey BAFTA don't you read the comments or watch your own posted videos? Your website mentions Aspel poking fun at Julie Walters and you invite people to watch the video you have posted for that moment, yet you actually fail to show the moment. D'oh.
"Thank you Super Man"
Brilliant! How poignant to see Christopher Reeve!
She was funny 😀
Also drunk
I prefer BAFTA ceremonies in auditoriums and not lounge settings like this.
She was Great in Harry Potter , she played Miss Weasley (Ron's Mum
I don't think anybody could tell
Nice to see Superman giving Mrs Molly Weasley a BAFTA!
Smoking at the table wowza
She beat Meryl Streep, wow
Well deserved ❤️
She beat Meryl Streep's oscar winning performance in Sophie's Choice??
Year after that I think
It wasn't "Sophie's Choice" it was Silkwood
It's Sophie's Choice. Her nod is a year late to the Baftas..
It was 1984, sophie's choice was in 1982..... so itis in 1983.
Look at this- en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/37th_British_Academy_Film_Awards
What part was her Bafta for?
Educating Rita
Notice Streep couldn't be arsed to be there
Damn she was HOT !
Apart from the fact that she was obviously tipsy-turvy her make up seems to be a sort of Madame-Butterfly-like in comparison to her body. But be that as it may - she handled it with a certain charme.
you missed off the punch line from Michael Aspel...!
Aspel quips "Well, she might at least have said thank you"
Oh, Superman, somewhere in time...horribly sad..
She isn’t drunk !!!
she's so cute
what? not even mention michael caine?
yeahhhhhh cool to see her win but in front of Meryl...
Lmfao
Ungracious not to thank Michael Caine
She was drunk but it was fine. Mariah on the other hand...
Well it wasnt that bad
She seemed like the awkward type when she was younger
A young Petula Gordino......Why would they sit a nominee that far from the stage?
shes to thin those arms
Wow, probably the worst mistake ever. Her over Meryl in Sophie's Choice?
Streep is a caricature
