Using your seal, cam, and injector tools. I've got an S63 doing valve stem seals. Valve covers removed. Spark plugs out, injectors out, holes plugged. Began turning the engine (clockwise from the front) and it turned smooth until it reached a hard stop. Looks like it as almost full open on exhaust on cyl 1, almost full open intake cyl 3. Quite puzzling . . . as if valves were hitting or something jamming the chain. Engine was running before teardown. Before pulling more stuff off to get to chain, any thoughts?
I almost ready to start this job
What seals do you recommend
OEM BMW or Elring seals ?
Thanks
can you recommend a kit for the m62? I have a 98 540i non vanos. I just want a good universal kit. easy to use
do you have S63 F10 Timing Tool ? is it available with manual and video
Hi .
is N62 same procedure and tools as N63?
Hi what is the name for the snap on tool you used to adjust the vanos variable angle
whats the price for s63tu timing tool? is it the same with s63? no pointer to your website for easy purchase.
Hi,
Great instruction and demonstration of your tools usage. I'm in the middle of a valve stem seal job in my home garage on 2010 BMW X5M S63TU. I visited your AGA website, nice building, lot's of overhead cost, hence the price you're charging for these simple, yet effective tools. Your cost for both tool sets needed for the seals: N63 CAM TIMING KIT SKU AGA-CTK-N63 $749.00, N63 VALVE STEM SEAL TOOL KIT SKU AGA-N63-VSK-K $1,399.00, Sub Total $2,148.00
Shipping $34.51
Total $2,182.51
This is not very cost effective for the DIY'ers doing a one-time job. This being said, do you offer a rental service? I shopped the web and Ebay'ers are offering rental, which also is pricey.
Regards.
